Easy to install and adjust to your tank size. One grain of sand or rust will clog it up though. But honestly that seldom happens. Repairable to a degree if it gets clogged. Comes with several little nipples to regulate how much water goes into the bowl. Instructions state you should call the number provided to set it up to match your toilet make and model. The existing toilet fill valve was failing after about 12 years in service. The Fluidmaster 400A looked like a direct replacement for the original fill valve. Replacement took less than 20 minutes and works perfectly. A relatively easy do-it-yourself project.

I followed a video that I saw on line to replace my Fluidmaster 400. It too a bit of work to get the old valve off( I did not replace the inner black tube as I have hidden plumbing lines) The old seal ring that was clear needed to be cut off with a razor knife since there for 10 years of calcium. The new one took a bit of strength to push down over the black tubing(had to ask a bit of help from as man for this job) Once the compression seal was down it was completely fixed) only a few turns after for water level adjustment. I bought one of these valves to replace one because the first wouldn’t shut off (leaky). It wasn’t long before I found that replacement stopped turning water on (filling the tank). Amazon replaced no questions. So it seems when they’re good, they’re great. And when they’re not, they’re not.
