After my son broke his toe (literally) on a metal transition plate between kitchen and dining room, I decided to get this product. To be honest, I really didn't have very high hopes of this working well. Partly because the transition between the rooms is so uneven, about an inch or more. This was the tallest one I could find and it still wasn't as high as it should be. In spite of that, it still worked. Installation was simple, cutting it was easy but difficult to get a perfect straight line because of the adhesive but I expected that. After removing the metal plate, vacuuming well and cleaning both surfaces with alcohol, it took about 15 minutes. It took me longer to get the old metal plate off. Adhesive seems strong, we will see how well it hold up.

The adhesive on product did not work for me . I followed directions but still had to use a different adhesive . It is easy to cut and fit in place .just did not stay down by self . I like the looks and quality otherwise it does the job .

I got this to replace a hard transition that had cracked and broken. It fit great. was easy to cut. ( Though hard to cut straight through. If you are thinking of getting this, when you cut it, cut it just a little over sized and at an angle with the long part being on top (where the wood grain is). If you slip and cut it longer on the bottom ( the underside) you will have a gap with no wood grain showing. The adhesive is very strong and holding up well in a high traffic area between the kitchen and the dinning room.

This actually is a really great product, unless you need to cover a long space and use more than one of These. I needed 16 feet so I bought a 10 ft one( longest they had)and a 6.6 ft one. I didn't realize until after I put the 10 foot one down that the 6.6 ft one, which I ordered in the same color, was completely different from the 10 foot one. It looks pretty terrible on my floor. I tried to contact the seller, but there's no way to contact them. I was hoping they could help me figure it out , maybe send me a longer version if they have those , because I really like these transition strips.
