Bruh. My husband has had a really hard time waking up lately to the point that I have to wake him up to turn his alarms off and then he still ends up oversleeping because he doesn’t get out of bed. So I made him set his phone across the room so that he would have to get out of bed. Well then he figured out he can put an AirPod in to snooze his alarm without getting out of bed. He needed a simple alarm clock so I got him this old school joint that is easy to set, durable and easy to read from his bed six feet away. This morning was the first morning and I could hear it ringing in my room! Hell, it got me up too. I could hear him in his room say, "Damn! - this must be what it sounds like to be in the Army!" This little guy has SAVED my career. I sleep RIGHT through my phone alarms and was about to be fired for being late so often. My therapist suggested getting an old-timey alarm that rings on metal. I wish the color choices were a bit wider but I still love it all the same. 10/10!

My daughter wanted this classic style alarm clock sooo badly. So in July, it went on sale, and I bought it as a VERY early Christmas gift. Of course by the time Christmas came, the return window had closed. This never worked, right out of the box. Tried multiple batteries, in case that was the issue, but nope. The time never moved. We were able to hear the bell by manually moving the hands to the alarm time, and it is loud, exactly as described. The light also worked, but you have to hold it on which was surprising (no way to keep the light on without holding the button). To turn the alarm off, you have to put the switch in back to the off position. Not the easiest when you're trying to turn off a very loud alarm, but I believe that is the classic design, so nothing wrong with that if it's what you are looking for. I can't say I'm toooo disappointed that it doesn't work, as I never wanted a very loud alarm clock in the house anyway. But my daughter is! ... show more

REALLY LOUD! I use this as my backup alarm. Would not want to wake up to the sound everyday. I sleep soundly knowing if I don’t hear my regular alarm this’ll get me up! Note: you have to set it and un-set it every night because it’s a 12 hr clock. Glows a bit if you charge it by a lamp.

    • Good price, not precise time setting for alarm

It’s a bit inaccurate when setting the alarm time. If you cross the current hour or minute hand when heading to your desired alarm time - even if it’s 6 hours/180* away.. it seems to promote some slight interference the next morning. I guess the hands are sticking around the same axel or whatever internal pin exists that the hands and alarm arm are anchored to and pivot in (around?) because of the sticking, wake up can be 4 or so minutes before or after whatever you thought it was set for. It’s not caused any real issues and once my daughter realized the issue she just took care of setting it on a Sunday morning so it did the mess up that afternoon and because it was already set for what she needed on Monday and hadn’t tangled with the time arms before going off- the alarm went off at the correct time 🤷♀️ It’s all metal so I think it’s kind of startling to hear in the morning, but my kid is a deep sleeper. She said it doesn’t scare her awake like I thought it would me. She sets it on the side opposite her bed so that by the time she gets to that tone has helped to actually wake her up out of that foggy/slide back into bed mentality. No more sleeping in and tardies to school since getting it so I’m totally happy with it and would definitely recommend! Cute color, quirky but easy to set and read, inexpensive. Not easy to read at a distance in the dark, better I think it’s more for someone that needs an effective alarm clock vs prioritizing a timepiece first. ... show more
