Pretty close to a perfect soprano ukulele! First off, I own a Fluke concert and an Outdoor Tenor so I know travel guitars pretty well. Was looking to round out my collection with a soprano and this caught my eye. The build and materials are solid and clean. The Good: great price! Great, punchy and clear sound! Pretty blue stain finish! Good action and so fun to play! Not so Good: the plastic neck - although the wood grain looks woody, the feel kind of irritated my hands. Tip - take some fine grain sandpaper and sand the neck so that it feels smoother but make sure to wear a mask or sand with good ventilation cuz you don’t want to inhale the plastic dust! 2nd tip - traditional GCEA tuning feels OK but the tension was a lot looser than my tenor that made strumming kind of snaggy and plucky. Try tuning each string up to ADF#B for a better string tension and an even better sound. Seriously. The little soprano sounds like a higher chimed hummingbird compared to my tenor that has a low G string. So after sanding the neck and tuning it up to A, I absolutely love strumming and playing this little thing. Definitely requires some getting used to a small uke (I still prefer tenor size) but for a soprano and the price this is such a fun little thing with a clear voice and lovely sound. Highly recommended - and when you consider that the Fluke costs 4x more, you marvel at how good a value this Flight is!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this ukulele primarily to play around my young grandsons. I was worried playing my delicate wooden ukulele around them because they're wild little hellions. This uke fits the bill. It's definitely sturdy. The front is wood and can be dented or broken, but the sides and back being plastic protect the most of the ukulele. The sakura color is pretty. There are slight imperfections, if those bother you. I ordered 2. One was brighter and had a sheen, the other was more dull and a more flat color (the one pictured). The strings aren't black as advertised. I ordered the soprano and am happy with the tone. It's warm and bubbly and has nice resonance. It stays tuned nicely. It has nice low action and is easy to play. It has one strap button on the bottom. A very basic bag. Sturdy and thick with a shoulder strap and handle. No padding. I spend 50 hours a week with my grandsons so this uke is getting a lot of play and it feels sturdy, is cute as heck and sounds good. Its my number one uke currently. I can lay it down and not worry about it getting scratches. For those reasons it's worth the 50/60 dollars, though I believe in general it's overpriced for a molded piece of plastic with 2 tiny wooden inlays. It doesn't include any other accessories. Uke, bag and stickers/booklet. Would be an awesome starter uke because it's sturdy and easy on the fingers. - I did contact Flight regarding the ukuleles arriving with scratches and no packing. They told me that these ukes aren't sold by Flight, but by one of their distributors and basically Amazon doesn't ship things properly and buy from a store...I would have done that if a store was nearby.

I love this little soprano ukulele, it is aesthetically pleasing and sounds great! The strings take a few days to stay in tune, but the more you play it the less this is an issue once the strings stretch a bit. I 100% flight ukuleles for any beginner or even intermediate player! The bag it comes with is an added plus, even if it doesn't have any padding, it's nice to have something to carry it in.

I purchased this ukulele due to 2 amazing reviews by an online ukulele teacher and the other was a home video taken of a young lady playing it on a boating trip. The teacher raved about this uke so much claiming it is a well made great little plastic & wood travel uke. I agree it's very sturdy. The sound isn't bad. I've had it for over a month and the strings are still settling in. This teacher also mentioned the sound hole has a smell of a certain particular wood that she likes. I hate the smell. I find it really annoying while I play. (Could be me … I'm very sensitive to smells.) I purchased this soprano ukulele in blue. I love the color. It looks really cute hanging on the wall. Everyone who sees it says they love the color. In my humble opinion, I would stick to the larger concert or tenor ukulele.
