  • Works fine after small fixes
Okay. So the hose itself works great, consistent drops of water along it's length. So the problem. It came with a major kink. This is fixable by holding the kinked area in hot water then wrapping the kink in duct tape. Also: it came without an end stopper. ??? Fortunately I had an extra. I did think about returning it. A new item is not supposed to require additional bits and fixes. But I needed it pronto and also did not relish the additional back and forth to UPS. Just check your hose when it comes in. Kinks lead to leaks if not remedied asap. ... show more

  • Good to Know that 5/8" Soaker Hoses Are Still Available
Our stores in Kansas City have stopped selling 5/8" diameter soaker hoses, so I was very happy to find these still available through Amazon. My only complaint is that the "washer" in the male end of the hoses has only a tiny (1/8") opening, so the water flow is very restricted. But that was easily solved by removing that washer and putting in a regular hose washer. I will be a repeat customer for this item, because I have extensive gardens that I am rehabbing and will need more hoses. ... show more

  • Bought 5, 3 had no end cap
Thought this was a good deal un my order arrived and I went out to place them. 3 of them had no end cap making them either unusable or costing more moeny to get the caps. I do like the diffuser in the front. It does seem to help the flow through the hose.

  • I was really disappointed that they needed to be mended so soon
I bought four Flexon hoses this spring, to wind through my strawbale garden. Within two weeks two of them had sprung leaks, about an inch long. These hoses were set into place and not moved, or mowed over...they just failed. The holes were not far from the ends, so my husband cut them down and replaced the fittings, and they've done well since then. I was really disappointed that they needed to be mended so soon, as they function perfectly all throughout my garden. Instead of standing out in the sun and providing a moveable feast for the flies and midges and mosquitoes, we run out once to turn on the hose, once to change the feeder hose to the other end of the garden, and once to turn it off. Even though we've had a long, hot spell, we have a bumper crop of tomatoes, peppers and cukes, and the grapes and raspberries have never done so well. We are firm believers in the soaker hose and I hope they hold up. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for with this
I was scared to spend this much on a soaker hose as I have usually purchased the cheapies at the local mass merchandiser. I am a believer now! The quality of this soaker hose is at least 75% better than the ones you buy at a "bargain". It "weeps" consistently from one end to the other and the material it is made out of handles being accidentally stepped on while out in the garden (though I don't think smashing it down all of the time would be a good idea). I will be purchasing this brand from now on. ... show more

  • Short Lifetime. Waste of money.
This hose lasted around 1 year. I ordered it 1 year 9 months ago, but I remember waiting to install it because the old leaky hose was completely overgrown by the garden. So I think I installed it in either fall 2018 or early spring 2019, and now at the beginning of spring 2020, it has a lot of pinhole leaks, which I could probably live with for a season or two, but it also has a big leak at the connector which sprays out too much water to live with. People are asking if you have to dig these up in winter. I think that would be crazy. So I did leave it on the ground all winter, but it's permeable so it shouldn't freeze and burst. Anyway you ought to be able to leave these in the ground through winter and still have them last for at least 3 years, hopefully more like 5-7. But 1 year is unacceptable. ... show more

  • Only good if handled with extreme care and does not last ...
Very vulnerable to kinks and leaks. Only good if handled with extreme care and does not last for much more than one season without extensive taping over leaks. Would be careful about buying. There are a limited number of good alternatives for those of us who like flexible drip/soak hose as a way to care for trees, bushes and gardens generally while conserving water and using it effectively. ... show more

  • I've been pleased with the performance of this product as it actually ...
I've been pleased with the performance of this product as it actually weeps instead of spraying and dripping as most inexpensive soaker hoses have performed in the past in my garden. I now have 3 of these and I am thinking of ordering another one before they might suddenly become unavailable! I have not had problems with the ends leaking. I don't know how well they will hold up but I'm happy with them for this first season and would purchase more. ... show more
