5 stars for kid friendly, adult approved, fun... Set up is super easy., DO NOT USE THE MOBILE APP!!! 1. Open the box, 2. Set up the printer, 3. Watch 400 videos to figure it out, 4. Download the correct software 5. start printing. We are on day 1 of prints ( day 4 of having it out of the box and messing with the mobile app. I fully recommend going with the AD5X vs. The Adventure 5m pro. From pictures and advertisements it looks like you can print multi-color, with 5m Pro. but it is a single color filament printer. In fact, the 5m pro requires manual changes of colors to print in multi color, though the advertisements show very colorful prints. We were devastated by this. I wish we would have paid attention, before ordering. Additionally we purchased during prime day i. October and were purchasing as a Christmas gift for kids, so we were well outside the return window, or we would returned it for the AD5X version. There are a few notes to the next buyer, looking for your 1st 3d printer. 1. Stop messing with the mobile app. It is useless and I only had errors for 3 days before moving on to the home computer or laptop. After watching several videos and drpping the mobile spp, we download to computer, the "flashmsker" by flashforge software, Then, we were on our way.. This software is what you need to upload the prints, slices, and create a file that will load to the unit, for printing. 2. Order extra filament, day 1. The flash forge is nice, in that, you can tell it what filament type you are using and it will do the job for you, as it pertains to heat and configuration. All of this can be done in the software. So easy to use. 3. There are a ton of websites to download free STL files, or if there is a very specific print or you are trying to ecommerce, there are pay sites as well. Final; great 3d printer, easy to use once you download the right software to laptop. Forget the mobile app bs. This is lots of fun for all ages. Order the multicolor unit. Other wise cool unit.

The software ecosystem isn't great. Bamboo's is much better, and I wish they'd work on that. It's loud, and I've heard some odd sounds from the fans that make me a little nervous only 3 weeks in. That said, for $340 for my first printer, I'm blown away by the engineering. They did a really good job. The touch screen may not feel like an iPhone, but it works just fine. The print quality, speed, precision, and reliability have me floored. It's also the only printer I could find in this range that has HEPA and charcoal filters with internal and external circulation. I threw some Kapton over the doors when printing in the house to better seal the system, but having the backbones of a proper filtration system is huge. The flashforge specific Orca slicer works great. I'm an aerospace mechanical engineer and I couldn't be more impressed for the cost. I love it. I really do.

I have had my 5M Pro for almost a year and it's been pretty good. Several times during operation the front cover of the nozzle assembly would pop off. It's only held on by magnets and 2 short pins. A week or so ago, it fell off again only this time disconnecting the power plug for the nozzle fan. Some fool must have designed the position of this connection. I can't use my fingers as the area is too small. I have been using bent tweezers. You have to push hard to get the connector up in there. The mating connector is just soldered to a pub board so now I think it's wiggled enough that the solder connection is compromised. Why not have the connector turn 90 degrees to the front or better yet give it a inch or two of wire so you can grab both. I still haven't got it fixed. May have to buy new nozzle assembly which is just under a $100 and they sell the whole machine now for $500. Maybe I should sell this and get a better machine from someone else. This should not happen if properly designed.

It's my very first 3d printer so it's super easy for someone like me, im an active suty military in japan and still got here in good condition, it was working right away, i was able to wireless print, just that camera is low resolution but i don't think it "detects" for quality, so not too bad, unfortunately the filament that came with it at first was going well but as i am halfway the spool, some filaments already snapped and kinda ruined one of my prints not knowing it kept printing but with no filament anyway, but other than that i thought its worth it for my first ever 3d printer...

I have had it for over a month now and I have gone just one day without printing something. Right out of the box, it works wonderfully and is a lot less hassle than the reviews led me to believe. In fact, I tried tinkering with settings when I thought it needed it a couple of times, when really, all I needed was to calibrate the machine from the app on my phone (or from the device). Very simple! Setup was easy and with OrcaSlicer, prints are very easy! To be fair to some people who have complained, I had to learn to use the calibration option a couple of times when prints didn't look great or they started off not too good. Auto leveling helps a lot too. That's perfectly okay. You can't learn if you don't mess up a few prints. I am still doing that, but my successful prints are far more than the ones that don't turn out. I have also learned that it helps to modify the gcode to print a line before it does it's nozzle cleaning routine, to get the first piece of filament out of the way. As a word of caution, don't use ChatGPT. There isn't enough content out there to draw from and so it will give you bad advice! Printables.com is your friend. It's quiet, clean, and fun. Definitely worth the purchase!

Having several printers (Bambu, Creality, Anycubic, and now this one), it's easy to fall in love with the printer. Well Built and its Speed & Quality beat most of my existing printers. Bought 6 of them and will probably order a few more (I own a small print farm). I chose the Pro version since if I bought the regular version, I would add the enclosure + camera, and probably order a 0.6mm nozzle. If you add the costs of all of those, you almost reach the cost of the Pro over the regular one. The printer is noisy. The nozzle cooling fan seems to be running at high speed and causes "some" noise. I will explore how to silence that one. Another Issue you might end up with is that the PTFE tube of the filament seems to be a bit longer on some of the printers I got. This causes it to touch the top cover and stain/scratch it. So, before running some prints, verify if it touches the top cover. If it does, I would recommend cutting it a little (1/2 Inch).

A few months ago, I got what could only be described as an inkling to make...brackets. brackets for screwdrivers. brackets for pots. brackets for pans. brackets brackets brackets! In my searching for my implement of choice, I settled on the flash forge Adventurer 5m Pro. Lemme tell you what. At first, I was a bracket making fool. I made a set of brackets to hold my roof crossbars for the truck. I made brackets to hang lego sets on the wall. Heck, I even wandered off my bracket focus and made myself a trash bin for my car. I was a creating fool! Not only that? But I even made a glow in the dark bracket for my kid's toothbrush and the hardened nozzle. Sadly this morning after a firmware update, the plate advanced up so high that it pressed into the nozzle and snapped it, breaking the printer head off completely. In doing so, it ripped off the fan cover plate, and pulled the connector out of the control board with the pins still there. I've tried to reach out without a lot of luck in getting a resolution so my bracket quest could resume; Those gardening tool brackets aren't gonna make themselves. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this; I haven't really founda community of like minded 3d printed glow-in-the-dark bracket enthusiasts. I hope it's just me. That said, I can't really recommend the device, as I spent hundreds of dollars on something that will now require I spend even more to get a new full printer head. I gotta say, I'm a little bummed out. I've got more brackets to make, and now it's gonna have to wait until I can replace the head, or just go big and replace the entire printer with a different model. SAD!

This is a solid printer! It takes a second to get used to, and the flashprint software is not overly functional. Once you get used to it, it's an awesome machine. I only give it a 4 due to the mediocre software, the printer itself deserves a better slicer.
