I rigged a DIY standing desk for my home office, which I rarely used since I normally spend 10 hours at work every day. But for the few (and short times) that I needed to do something at home, it worked perfectly. Now that I'm working from home during the pandemic, I found my setup was starting to kill my back and realized that I had to get a more comfortable permanent solution. I decided on the following criteria - height adjustable - swivel - foot rest - height adjustable - armrests - able to lift out of the way - back support!!! This chair checked all the boxes so I decided to give it a try in lieu of the more expensive $300+ model from another brand that it seems to copy. Delivered promptly due to Amazon Prime, I had this thing chair put together in 30 min. I easily avoided the pitfalls the befell others thanks to the reviewers who noted 1) don't put the seat bottom on backwards or it will tip the wrong way, and 2) don't put the footrest ring on upside down. My only advice to add is to hand-screw the screws to start them before using the Allen wrench to make sure the screws are threaded properly. After using it for a day or so, my back pain went away. I did find that I feel better with a little travel pillow in the small of my back to add to the built-in lumbar support. This is not surprising because in vehicles I always have the lumbar expanded to the max, so maybe my back just curves more than most? The seat part is cushy yet supportive, unlike the double seat cushions I was trying to use previously on my non-adjustable counter-height formed-plastic kitchen chair. I can now sit in this drafting chair for hours comfortably. I love that the armrests can lift out of the way, as sometimes I use the desk height (so the armrests keep my wrist/forearm supported nicely) to type on my BT keyboard and other times I use the slide-out keyboard tray (which means I need to move the armrests out of the way). I've now been using this chair for 3 solid weeks and it has made a world of difference in my WFH life. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good value drafting chair. ... show more

Pros - Delivery was quick and price point was excellent. Simple to assemble and my low back is very grateful for the lumbar support missing from our high top dining room table chairs. Height was perfect for the high top table and the main selling point. 1 year review: Lumbar support is still holding strong as is the padding in the seat and arms. My 1 and only complaint is that by moving the left arm up and down, it has loosened the hex screw. Over time, the left arm has become loose and wobbly. It can be resolved by tightening the screw but there is no access to it without disassembling the whole chair. I would buy again though. ... show more

This chair has been the best purchase I have made for my office space since I bought my standing desk! I telework from my home 100% of the time now. I was just using one of those really nice, leather cushioned, height adjustable bar stools to rest my derrier every now and then; but I took new position that involves a LOT of meetings, some of them a lot longer than others, that I can’t possibly stand through; especially with a herniated disc in my neck. My bar stool was not doing me any favors in that area. So I started searching for ergonomic standing desk chairs. I toiled for days going back and forth between different websites, stores, etc. comparing pricing and different features. There were SO many options with all sorts of fancy descriptions and fancy pricing to go right along. I finally threw my hands up and settled on this one. And what a good deal I got for the price! Everything about it is just right! The height, the seat, the arms, the lumbar support, everything. I read some reviews that complained that the chair would “sink” a few inches when they sat in it. But the “give” is part of the ergonomics. I stand at 5’2” and weigh 135 lbs, and it does give when I sit but not so much that it affects my comfort. The curved seat provides good hip support, and the cushion is very soft but not too “squishy.” I can sit in this chair for my full 8 hour work day, and I don’t get stiff. The arm rests are just the right height with soft padding. It doesn’t recline, but that is not a feature I was looking for. It rolls easily across my tile floors or the thin foam mat I have in front of my desk. The round foot rest easily adjusts up and down and the chair rotates easily. I think this chair is as comfortable if not more comfortable than some of the chairs I tried out in-store that were double the price. ... show more

Received the chair and it was fairly simple to assemble. I'm using this with a Sit-Stand Desk, as recommended by the seller. When I raised the seat completely, the chair is comfortable and works well. When I try to drop the seat, it does not completely lower. It remains raised about three inches from the lowest position. While my feet do touch the floor, I'd still prefer to drop my Sit-Stand Desk and chair to a more conventional/regular office configuration from time to time. Because the chair seat won't lower completely, I can't do this. Called the manufacturer - Belnick Inc. hoping it was just something it was something simple. No one answered, so I left a voice mail - this was three days ago and still haven't heard from anyone. Decided to go directly to Flash Furniture, the Amazon reseller and oddly enough, they aren't answering the phone either. The weird thing is that their "voice mail" system is setup exactly the same as Belnick's. The automated system indicated their hours were 0800-1700 but no one answered at 1350 even though the voice mail system indicated there were "zero" people ahead of me in the queue. Left a voice mail from them, but I hold out little hope of getting a return call. I purchased this chair because it received good reviews, to include customer service. I have until 24 Sep 2020 to get an RMA and will most likely do that given the chair won't lower all the way and no one seems interested in assisting me with addressing this issue. Bought 10/2021 & was originally a great purchase at the time: price, quick shipping, easy assembly, comfy as an every day office chair for my standing height desk. However, at about the year mark it started to lean back & to the left considerably, even when locked in place with the release slider...then a piece of plastic from the bottom of the seat broke off & fell to the floor. No idea where that came from but apparently it's whatever locks it in place & kept it level. Then shortly after that the locking slider started working it's way out on a regular basis which then allows the chair to lean back. Wayyy back! It's so faulty at this point that I have to slide it back in to lock it in place 5 or 6 times a day, and not only that, it now pops out in a way that makes a sound like it's plastic breaking & throws me backwards if I slightly lean back in the chair. It's so loud & abrupt that it scares the Bejeebus outta me every time. Almost always waits to happen until I'm on a video call for work! Now at exactly 4 yrs in, the cylinder has started to fail and I'm having to lift it back to full height 3 or 4 times a day. I will probably get a thirty dollar cylinder replacement to see if that works over spending 4 times that on a new chair, will update my review when I find one that's compatible & test it out a little. Bottom line expectancy for this chair: - 1 year lifespan of it working perfectly - Year 2 expect to be slightly annoyed with it but still functional - Year 2 1/2 to 3 expect to be VERY annoyed almost daily - End of year 3 expect to fix or replace because of complete failure of cylinder (if you use it at anything but the lowest height). ... show more
