For the cost of the chair its great and comfortable, but as some have mentioned, its smaller than one would assume. I'm 5'9" and about 150lbs, and this comes up to the middle of my shoulder blades when sitting erect. The claims about not being able to lean back are in my experience so far, not true, it has a lean back feature, and I'm slouching as I type this. I have added photos of it at my desk that depict it next to me to demonstrate scale. This is NOT a chair for a big person, in terms of height or weight. I'm a 5'6, 120-lb woman and this chair comes up just below my shoulders, I was hoping for a chair that was a little higher, but "mid-back" was as close as I was going to get in my price range. It leans back (a big requirement for me) and is very comfortable with thick padding on the seat and back that I suspect will get softer with use. It's a little bit of a pain to put together, but luckily you only have to do that once. I'm very happy with this purchase. ... show more

The only reason I gave this four stars is because it wasn't easy putting it together. There is a Youtube video that shows step by step. The sockets for the screws can be hard to reach.

Very comfortable and makes sitting at computer desk much easier. The back is not as high as photo makes it appear (note it says mid-back and it is slightly higher than that). I did not want it high so I had measured my needs against the dimensions provided and information proved to be accurate providing me shoulder height as I had wanted. I did have to spray a silicone spray on the mechanism underneath after a week of use because of squeaks but that is not uncommon as much as I use a computer in a day's time. Chair is pretty good, assembled well and besides the stapling/sowing done on the back fabric sheets, pretty decent quality. The only issue is the lack of even minor reclining ability and the back cushion, as you can see in the picture, comes outwards a bit, so it is a bit uncomfortable when you first sit in it, though you can adjust to the side a little and then its okay. Ive gotten used to it on the first day and dont notice it anymore, and i do like the chair. However, if i had gone to a store and tried this first i would not have bought it. If immediate comfort is important, dont get this chair. Final review is, "It's ok." ... show more

Nice black leather desk chair great for Dorm rooms, small desk areas, or conference rooms. I HATED the cheap plastic chair that came in my dorm room. This was a great replacement, small to keep out of the way when not in use,and yet large enough that a Corn-fed farm guy can still sit comfortably for hours on end. We took (what we thought at the time was) a chance and ordered 10 of these chairs for our conference room. They were easy to assemble, and it took about an hour for 3 teams of 2 to put them together. There was ample lollygagging during the process, however. We've had numerous compliments on their appearance and their COMFORT. We tested chairs that cost 5 times as much as these and found these to be the best overall, even disregarding the cost. These are truly a quality product at a bargain price. ... show more

Okay so I bought this chair disassembled since I figured I could do it at home. The instructions were decent, but the arms really difficult to press to the seats in order to screw them on due to the stiffness of the cushions. Then when I placed on the wheels, they wouldn't go into the sockets like they should. I kept pushing them in but they wouldn't lock in completely, no matter what I did. So of course when I tested the chair out with a heavy box, the wheels all just rolled outward and came off. Its a cheap chair, I regret buying it. ... show more
