I am 6'5" 375 and have made a career of breaking chairs. I have had these for a few months now. Here are the pros and cons from my perspective. Pros - 1) Very Sturdy. Feels good when I rotate in the seat - like I am not going to distort it over time. 2) Foot rest has a diameter size that is comfortable when not wearing shoes. Cons - 1) The backrest could be moved farther back and/or a longer seat. The seat could also be wider but its not not terrible. 2) Most stools lean back a little but this one doesn't do that enough which is a problem. You feel like the seat is throwing you out or leaning forward. 3) The chair could be a little shorter unless you have a very tall table or counter. On those last two cons, I took it upon myself to fix those so that I could keep them. So I took the end caps off and took a couple inches off the legs. The chair comes in two halves. They are connected by 4 bolts. I added two steel spacers about 7/16" to the front two bolts using longer bolts. This gives the chair a backward lean that eliminated that issue. I am attaching pictures that show the modifications I made versus one out of the box. ... show more

How can I return them, they are not comfortable and too high for me to set on, also I don’t have the box’s the cane in no more, I need a return label plus I have put them together, I have had the bar stools a little over a month I tried to make it work, they are really too high for me

The instructions to put the chairs together did not include putting the back onto the frame, it only shows putting the seat on. That is misleading. Also, I ordered 3 chairs, and 2 out of the 3 are missing hardware (nuts/bolts). I emailed the seller but unless you're a dealer, there's no real way to get in touch. Very frustrated. ... show more

I bought this at it is supposed to be rated for 500#. Good and sturdy. I ordered 3 stools. Received hardware for 2. I emailed for additional hardware. I received what I believe what was an automated message back saying they would get back to me. I didn't hear anything for over a week. I purchased two of these barstools for my home as I have an extra-tall bar and had trouble finding stools with a tall enough seat height. These do the trick! They arrived on time and packaged well, though the box was massive (and perhaps unnecessarily so - I wasn't upset about this, but just be warned). I received all of the correct pieces and hardware, though I rated assembly 3/5 simply because the instructions provided are not even remotely close to correct, or even the correct instructions for this product. Once I tossed those aside, it was fairly easy to put these stools together. The first one (sans instructions) took me about 30 minutes to figure out, so the second one was done much more quickly. This is a review for the black, ladder back chair with a vinyl padded seat, not the wooden seat. Just wanted to make clear which chair I am reviewing. Okay, here goes, this chair is okay and almost perfect. Here's what I like about it; 1.Very sturdy design and a bit heavier than I was expecting. My last chair was wood, it had cross beams near the bottom and I liked to rest my feet on them. So would anyone under seven feet tall, which made it so disappointing when the cross beam broke and compromised the chair leg (there was a smallish crack in it and the chair seemed wobbly). With metal frame and overall great construction of this chair, I can rest my legs with peace of mind, no broken chairs for me!!! 2. Looks exactly like the photo. All black and the exact dimensions that were listed here. Here's what I didn't like; 1. Missing hardware. there was spots for six screws to secure the seat to the base and yet only two screws were included. Sure, it seemed sturdy, but why not have all six points locked down? 2. this is not a seat for lounging. In fact, the butt space is a on the small side, even my skinny teen found the seat to be a bit wee. I will still use it and be glad to have it, but it feels a bit like you will slide right off if you don't sit up straights. For the price, this is a pretty good chair. ... show more

    • Great Furniture for a "Beginner" Adult - Some More Long Term Issues

I bought this for my first studio apartment and was pleased with it until I moved. It's comfortable, a good height and was easy to assemble. The parts remained sturdy, but the one issue was long-term sturdiness at the joints and screws. The stool is a swivel stool, which is great, but that has meant that the spinning motion over time seems to shake-out the nuts on the underside over time. It's an easy fix if you catch it/notice (since there are multiple on the underside of the stool), but I can imagine over time these getting more and more frustrating. Otherwise, a great addition to my apartment and would consider again if was furnishing an apartment from scratch again. ... show more
