Description

This office chair features plenty of thick, plush padding for comfort along with an embellished mesh trim throughout the chair. Finding a comfortable chair is essential when sitting for long periods at a time. Big & Tall office chairs are designed to accommodate larger and taller body types. This chair has been tested to hold a capacity of up to 500 lbs., offering a broader seat and back width. The high back design relieves tension in the lower back, preventing long term strain. The included headrest will take the pressure off of your neck while leaning back. The tilt lock mechanism offers a comfortable rocking/reclining motion. The waterfall front seat edge removes pressure from the lower legs and improves circulation. The pneumatic adjustment lever will allow you to easily adjust the seat. The chrome base adds a stylish look to complement a contemporary office space.

  • Decent chair but disappointed overall for sure.
Bottom plate that lift mechanism fits into is bending and makes chair lean to the left or right. I have had this happens with chairs before and it is a matter of time before the bottom plate fails. This is one of the main reasons I purchased a chair of this rating. I have purchased two other Hercules chairs and they were both great but I wanted one with more padding for comfort. While the base is more padded and comfortable the back lumbar area is way to low and it feel like the chair is trying to push you forward the whole time you are sitting in it. ... show more

  • Subpar for price
UPDATE: It has been a little over a year since I purchased. The wheels are already malfunctioning. They do not roll any longer. The arm rests constantly loosens and they do not properly fit so adjusting them is a nightmare. THIS IS NOT MADE FOR DAILY USE. Arm rests did not fit into holes correctly. Was a two person job to maneuver them in. Recline feature does not work. I am 5’11” 250lbs and do not fit comfortably in this chair. Seems like I am about to slide off at any second. Would not recommend for “big and tall” ... show more

  • Not for Big & Tall, just Big
Assembly: No major problems except the tolerance for the machining of threaded holes on the left-side back of the chair or the left-side bottom was slightly off. The left side handle literally wouldn't reach and I had to pincer force the back forward enough to attach it. I thought I was going to break the back or bottom in half to get it to reach, and then I had to deal with screwing the bolt in as it was naturally pulling against it. Ergonomic: - As someone mentioned, the lumbar support is pretty low, unadjustable - The back of the chair doesn't sit straight up. It angles back a little. This wouldn't be a huge issue if it was adjustable, but its not.; therefore, if you want back support you need to lean all the way back. - The base tilt is quite stiff and needs to be loosened a lot to be useful. - I'm 5'8" and this chair's maximum height is great for me sitting at my desk, but if you were over 6', I could easily see your knees being up to your chin. This is not a Big & Tall chair, just big. Support: The padding is great, feels good, and is comfortable. ... show more

  • Big not Tall
I am 6'4", athletic around 235-240 lbs. The good: chair seems well built, good padding and I can spread my legs comfortably, whereas most chairs are too narrow in the armrests. The bad: The head rest comes up just above the top of my shoulders. This forces me to sit in a forward leaning position. This probably lends to the next problem, the chair does not want to stay in it's reclined position. This chair seems to be built for a sub 6' individual that is on the larger end of the scale. ... show more

  • Do Not Buy
A terrible chair. The tilt spring is way too stiff, even after adjusting it lower, its still almost to the point where the chair tips over before it tilts. Also, the padding in the chair is uncomfortable. The lumbar padding is so thick and low that you almost sit on top of it instead of it offering any support for your back. Lastly, despite being advertised as a "500 lb capacity" chair, the chair base attaches to the bottom of the chair on top of a cheap looking plastic standoff that looks like it'll last a month before failing. These problems could be forgivable if the chair itself hadn't come broken. The tilt mechanism is either bent or welded incorrectly because instead of tilting straight forward and back, the chair tilts at an angle, backwards and to the left. Also the tilt lock lever doesn't do anything on my chair. It's not obvious from the photos, but the lift and tilt levers on this chair aren't normal levers, but instead handles connected to bicycle brake cables that pull on mechanisms inside the base. I don't know why the lever doesn't work, but they came attached to the base and simply click into slots on the bottom of the chair, not something I could mess up terribly just by assembling the chair. I'll probably end up refunding my money and buying something different, but now I'll have to waste however much money by having to mail a 70 lb fully assembled chair back to amazon. ... show more

  • Don't expect comfort!
The only reason I didn't give it one star is the fact that i'm a large person who requires this weight rating. It' not comfortable at all! (will end up buying a comfortable chair and use the base off this one.

  • Its alright
One of the arms keeps coming loose. One of the levers doesn't work. It's comfortable now but I imagine a year from now it wouldn't be that great.
