It took me just under an hour to assemble by myself. I’m your average female, not someone who puts things together like this very often and I have long nails - didn’t break a nail and had no trouble with instructions. You get the tool and all the bolts needed and the assembly instructions are excellent. I have wide fat hips and a fat butt and I fit so comfortably in this chair. Usually office chairs squeeze me but this one does not. I am not even close to the weight limit on this chair so it feels very sturdy. It rolls amazingly smoothly on these rubber casters. Very smooth swivel. Arm height is not adjustable though so if that’s important to you, this may not be for you. For me they are just fine because I type all day and my elbows can rest lightly on these. I am 5’7” and sitting in the chair at the lowest seat height, my feet can sit flat on the floor and my knees are bent at probably 85 degrees. I do use a foot rest to keep my feet propped up for circulation reasons so this height is great. For someone taller you could adjust the height but if you’re shorter than 5’7” you might have dangly legs. I especially love the front part of the seat being able to touch the backs of my knees, and that’s because there’s enough depth to accommodate my big bottom. Most office chairs I end up far forward because the depth isn’t made for a larger person. And the seat width is great as well, I have very wide hips and there’s no pinching. The seat back is high enough that if I let my head rest on it there is still an inch of chair back above the top of my head. I like the faux leather material (I chose the ivory color) and hope it holds up well, time will tell. I work from home 3 days a week so we will see how it goes. Update: Hamaoka support reached out to me and has resolved my issue. I am very satisfied with the support from them and making this process and smooth as possible! I am no longer upset about my purchase! Thank you for the communication. First off: Chair is comfy, wide enough to fit a 6'3 260lbs man comfortably. Arm rests are supportive, however they are fixed, this can mess with your desk height. The riser on the chair I wish was higher, my knees do not sit at a 90 degree angle as this is short. After 8 months of use, this chair is falling apart to an extent. The chair leans to the right a significant amount, about 2 inches, when measured with the arm rests under my desk. It is not ergonmimic at all. This is a great chair for executives who can lounge, but the person who is sat in it for 8hrs a day, it does not support your lower, mid or upper back. Also the lever to adjust height is extremely bendable metal, as this is advertised as a heavy duty chair, it is incredibly weak and bends after daily use of the chair, which in turn causes the chair (when it a locked upright position) to recline slightly backwards. This is HORRBILE for your back and neck and you are no longer sitting up straight and in an ergonomic position. TLDR: Chair is great and comfy and big enough. Wish the riser was taller as this is advertised as big and tall, and over time the adjustment lever bends, and chair leans to the right which makes this ergonomically terrible. If you are spending this type of money on a chair, just buy a standing desk or a herman miller or some chair that has better ergonomics. ... show more

So this is an early review. I purchase the chair last week and was told it would come between January 11-17th; came early January 8th, so big plus. Now for the assembly part. READING IS KEY but don't be like me, i thought common sense could apply here. I end up looking for a video and couldn't find one, so I end up reading it but still missed a key point. I followed the instruction to a T and it was easy to assembly. I'm 5'6 and tiny-ish weigh about 145lbs. I am no Hercules, and I hate manual labor (for certain things) but it took me 30-35mins to assembly. BUT then i saw the key info that states i need another person assistance, but I did it without. Wasn't hard by any means necessary. The instructions provided was clear to follow and is the key in successfully putting the chair together. Please Note: it was heavy, from the box to the item itself but I needed a new chair now and now! The chair is super comfy, and I mean getting a warm hug kind of hug from the person you love the most comfy. The recline of the chair is ON POINT, baby this rocks like a good rocking chair! Startle me on a few occasion. The lumbar support is not the greatest but i think has to do with my weight and height, remember this chair is built for specific height etc. Nonetheless i still got it. BUT IT WORKS. My only faults with this product is the spring coil; its wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too LOW! If i could get a replacement to make the chair higher I would be most grateful.
