This Big & Tall Executive Office Chair is an ideal chair for larger and taller professionals who spend long hours sitting behind a desk. An extended upper back with integrated headrest and lumbar knob reinforces healthy posture. The 25" wide swivel seat is double padded with 4" of foam. Raise or lower the seat using the pneumatic height adjustment lever for a custom fit. Generously padded loop arms reduce pressure on the shoulders and neck providing additional comfort. Turn the tilt tension adjustment knob to increase or decrease the amount of force needed to rock or recline and lock the seat in place with the tilt lock mechanism. Ok, so there's a few things I want to share... nay, NEED to share: 1. It's definitely plenty roomy for big booties. I'm super hip-heavy and still don't touch both sides. That's also a con, though, cause the chair is huge! It barely fits through the door and if you work around other people, get ready for all the "oh my gosh, that chair is huge" comments. (Maybe that won't bother you, but it made me feel like a whale!) 2. It doesn't stay up. (Giggity!) But really, it says it holds up to 500 lbs, yet even at 300 lbs, my roommate makes the chair deflate like a sad little balloon. It'll stay up for a couple minutes but that's it. So if you have long legs, this is quite unfortunate. If you have super short legs, this might be just fine. I will say, though, my 450 lb fluff-stuff feels quite safe and secure in it... all the way deflated down, of course! It two years later and I still don't worry about it breaking! :) 3. Shipping time was great. Assembly was a bit of a chore (remember, massive chair!) But my teenager was able to do it by himself. It's a magnet for animal hairs and messy hands. The seat doesn't have much cushion, though it's better than some chairs out there. (A word of advice, the fabric holds EVERY SINGLE FART so when you feel your tummy rumbling, get up and walk away before you let one rip! Either that or invest in large quantities of febreeze!) 4. One last complaint, the back doesn't sit straight up. It's constantly leaning back about half way, which is fine when I'm relaxing. But I wanted support on my back while I'm sitting and slaving away all day. Now, with the chair down low and no back support, I stand up hunched over like my grandma and it takes me several minutes of stretching before I can even walk. So no, I don't recommend this chair. Unless, of course, you're just looking for something spacious to sit in with your children, where you can roll around the room or spin endlessly until you're about ready to puke! In which case, enjoy! :) ... show more

This chair is not very sturdy. I liked the width to give space but it leans when moving side to side. Its squeaks from time to time even after using lubricant. I like the room in the chair but that's about all.

The build quality of this item is really good. Sitting in it doesn't cause any squeaks that I've dealt with other chairs and it doesn't rock side to side. It feels really solid when sitting in it. It's wider that most other chairs that I've been in which is odd for me just because I'm not used to it. The only option this doesn't have is a very easy way to move the arms outward from the chair, you can loosen the screws and move it out maybe an inch for this model. This chair doesn't offer an option to change the angle of the back, so the seat pan and back are always at the same angle. The nice this is the chair doesn't rock back just because I sit in it. I actually had to loosen the tension spring so that it wasn't that hard to rock backwards. cons The first con for me is that the cushion seems to bottom out and I can feel the wood beneath it. I guess the only type of chair that would prevent that would be mesh seat pans or form that is so hard it would be more uncomfortable. The second is that the arms or so far apart, which for me just feels odd. Overall I think the cons are relatively small issues when you consider the build quality vs the price. I still like the chair a lot more compared to other chairs I've been in. ... show more

Quality of shipping was mediocre. Found the blister pack with all the screws open, but luckily all of them could be found. The assembly instructions is just single sheet of paper with picture of what goes where. Assembly was rather easy. I had a harder time getting it through my office door. The chair is rather wide, which is great for a bigger person. The arms go up and down, but not side to side. Again, the chair is wide, so it might not be comfortable for those that are more tall than wide. I am tall and wide. Another disappointment, the chair does not recline back. The chair also feels like it designed to lean back too much. The picture kind of shows this, but I didn't take note of it. I prefer to sit up straighter. The biggest disappointment is that I have been sitting in the chair for just one hour and I already know this is less comfortable than my old 24/7 chair that lasted 6 years (purchased 12/17/2009). I am not sure who declared this a 24/7 chair, but it doesn't feel like one. BTW, my old chair was a HON 3500 Series Swivel Task Chair. By no means is this close to the quality. I work between 10 to 12 hours a day at my desk. I could last all hours without thinking twice about it. If the pneumatic cylinder didn't finally go on the HON, I would still be using it. IMO, spend a little money for a better quality chair. I know I will be replacing this chair within a year. *** January 2019 update I put have used this chair for around 3 years. Within the first few months the chair starting creaking and leaning to the side a little. This progressed over the years and the chair was very wobbly. I would not recommend this chair. ... show more

    • How to correct angle of seat back.

Like a number of other reviews on this chair, I found that the seat back leaned back more than I prefer. I prefer a more 'upright' position rather than the 'relaxed' position that this chair came with. Reading through the reviews another reviewer recommended using 1/2 inch spacers under the plate on the two bolts closer to the front of the chair which secure the seat back to the seating portion. This required 1/2 inch longer bolts also, note they are standard American bolts NOT metric. This modification changes the angle of the seat back to a more upright position. For me changing the chair from something I could learn to live with to PERFECTION! ... show more
