Driving in my town has gone to crap so bought this to protect myself. Looks and feels so OEM than I forget it’s there. Press the power button once set up and you never have to turn it on again. Starts up when I turn the car on and turns off when I turn the vehicle off. Some reviews complained about the looping feature - I’ve had 0 issues. Looping working exactly as expected. The app works great, just note you cannot use Apple CarPlay while using the app. It can take a few seconds to load when you have a lot of footage though, not a big deal. You can also eject the branded Micro SDXC card to retrieve data manually. Video files are stored in storage folders for front and back as .TS files. Make sure to use VLC or another video player with .TS files to ensure viewing - QuickTime Player and other software may not be robust enough for .TS files.

Love this cam for the most part. I had tried another brand camera and loved the quality but it was a strap on model and the camera was located mirror/left and a portion of the front facing image was obscured by the mirror mount so after some research, found the FitCam and it's mounted basically center/top of the windshield for a great view. It does have an OEM fit and feel. Plugs into your existing sensors in the windshield to power the cam while the engine is on but you will need a hardwire kit if you want to use the cam in "park mode" (for monitoring events while the engine is off). Even in 4k mode the image is not quite as clear as the examples on the listing but it's quite good. The rear camera is a bit less resolution and does pick up quite a bit of glare at night. If you're the type that likes to see the video display as you're driving, this cam will not be for you. It requires an app on your phone to get a live view. The app is pretty straightforward and easy to use but I did find that it would disconnect my CarPlay while the FitCam app was connected so I have the app on a second phone which does not connect to my CarPlay. I also notice the video feed in the app glitches often and the feed will be distorted. This does NOT affect the actual recording though. If you prefer, you can eject the microSD card and download to your computer to review footage (though again, you will need an app called VLC (free download) as the forward camera footage will not play in QuickTime). I ordered the model that has a rear facing cam as well...as mentioned above, the resolution is slightly less for this cam and it is an INTERIOR cam only (you cannot mount this cam on the exterior of your vehicle). I have mine mounted in the center of the rear window and had to purchase a 3rd party bracket to mount it because I have a sliding window there so it could not be attached directly to the glass. The rear camera rotates 360º which I needed to do because of mounting it to a bracket....rotating causes the image to reversed which means you will not want to use this camera in viewing mode while backing up as it's very disorienting. All in all, I'm happy with this cam as it met the priority points on my checklist. It was a little more expensive than the other brand I had ordered but worth the extra money just to have it mounted center of my windshield without the viewing area obscured by the mirror mount. It's a clean mount, no wires exposed. I upgraded to two 256gb cards and just swap them out once a week so I have a backup of the last several days of driving if needed.

Great video quality. Easy installation. User friendly app. Installed the 4K front and rear dash cam on my Ram 1500. We liked it so much we got a set for my wife’s Pacifica. These look like they came from the factory. Great value in my opinion.

I drive a 2019 Ram Rebel 1500. I brought the 4k front camera with 1080p rear camera with the (A Model) set up. The install went pretty quick (after watching a YouTube or two). Set up was quick, and easy enough. I love the plastic tool they provided so I can pop off parts without damaging my vehicle. I highly recommend this camera, even if you just get the front camera. The app is easy, there isn't a subscription, and it allows you to choose your own settings like video loop length. My only suggestion, would be to include or offer the polarizing lens options. For anyone buying this camera set up, I brought the CPL-3345 polorizing lense for the front camera, and CPL-9220 for the rear camera.

Great so far, had an installer install front and rear cameras for $200. Works great so far, I have a topper so probably didn't need the rear, but the installer attached it to my sliding back window, and I still have nice view in case someone hits the truck.

I got this for my 2023 Ram 2500 Laramie. Installation was fairly easy and took about 30 minutes. I had to cut the small trim piece that covers the wiring and goes in the middle to the headliner. That piece appeared to be made specifically to be trimmed if needed and only required clipping a few thin pieces of plastic with wire cutters. Once installed it works great and image quality is very good. The only things I think would improve it would be built in gps for speed recording on the video. Overall I really like it and would recommend.

So far, so good. This product comes exactly as advertised. I got mine for a RAM 1500. The custom fit is perfect. You really can't see the difference between the stock mirror hood and this one. I like that the dash cam is not obvious. The cameras (front and rear) work fine, also as advertised. The app works fine and is easy to use. The installation was easy. I estimate it look me less than an hour including running/hiding the wires to the rear camera. My only wish is that the app would be redesigned to be Carplay friendly.
