This camera is great. Just what I wanted; a simple way to record the crazy drivers on the road with me :). I watched some install videos, and that made the install really easy (15min) in my 2023 Tacoma. Camera picture is crystal clear. I really like that there are no cables and it blends in with the original truck. Two items to be aware of, and it would not stop me from buying this. 1) If you use a Mac, you will need to download a third party tool to watch the videos. There are many, but I used Elmedia. 2) As mentioned in other reviews, it’s annoying to have to disable cellular data each time you want to connect to the camera. Again, neither of these are “game stoppers” but something to be aware of. Overall, I love this thing. I had other cameras with cables running all over the vehicle and this is SO MUCH better. BTW, I did not buy the rear camera, only the front.

I had purchased another camera, but eventually, it started going out. So I thought I would try this one. The price is a little high, but I took the dive. The installation is a little tricky due to the tightness that you are having to tuck the wire inside. Overall, I am happy with the way it fits, and I now have less stuff hanging on my windshield. Its easy to push the cable inside the door rubber and I like the way the rear camera sticks to the window and you can also adjust it. There is no viewer of what you are seeing unless you download the app. The App is easy to use. When I start my truck and the camera kicks on, my phone dings to let me know the camera is on and working. Only on occasion do I use the app, but when I do, it works fine. The app is not needed for the camera to run. The Quality is very nice.

Love this thing, wasn’t sure I would. Clicked right in after setting the wiring harness. Took under 5 minutes. Be gentle prying off the old one if you want to keep it (use the included tool). Be patient installing the new one- slightly tedious. The video quality is great- you can choose 4k from the app. The WiFi password is numbers 1 through 8 to get it set up. Have had 0 issues with this thing or the app. I forget it’s there. A nice feature is that it will lock videos from being deleted if it detects a crash, so it’s truly a low maintenance device. If you don’t want to use the app or can’t, it comes with an SD card and a USB A card reader for your computer. Overall very satisfied.

2021 Tacoma Limited - installs pretty quickly (less than 10min) and functions as expected. Get about 3 or 4 days of recording before it starts to record over, which seems to be adequate so far. It did slip off, left hanging from the wire due to the OEM bass from JBL stereo system. Seems to be better now as I put a drop of clear silicone at the four connection points when I reinstalled it. Note - be sure to tuck the wires in along the center to allow it to set flat and level on glass. Little bit of light blue flashing lights when it's recording and turned on but is blocked by the rearview mirror for the driver and all passengers I've asked about it said they don't even notice it. You'll see a light flashing blue light on the passenger seat when it's really dark out from time to time. Great high quality image and simple install. I recommend it to everyone and would buy again without question.

Super simple install..and looks like it came from the factory with it on the truck. I did just install this, so I can't speak to how well it will last...but if it keeps working as it is, it's a great deal. As for the software and image quality...they are on par with most of the other cameras on the market. Nothing really special, the fit and finish of the unit itself is where this stands out

I bought this for my husbands truck as a christmas gift in 2022. Shipped fast, showed up on time, my husband was super happy with it, I assumed everything would work out fine. When he went to install it there are two plastic clips that hook somehow straight onto the car. Not sure if my husband was using to much force or if the plastic is cheap but it broke. My husband being the handyman he is decided to try and superglue the clips together while I reached out in december on the FITCAMX website to talk to someone. With the amount this is, I didn't think something like this should break so easily. I did go back in forth with a representative and they offered to send a new plastic box (the thing that holds the camera) of course I was down to try anything and so I said I would appreciate it. This would be the last message I get. I waited a few weeks knowing it would probably be shipped outside the states and would take a few weeks to get here. It's now march and Nothing ever showed up. Super upsetting considering i spent almost twice the amount for this camera for my husband and I ordered a cheaper one through amazon and had zero issues with things breaking. I will say that we were able to test it even though the plastic cover was broken and the camera quality seemed very good. Doesn't help that it hangs down since its broken and i've completely given up at hoping to hear back from this company.
