  • Incredible
Style: Ultra Blade Soft Grip
I inherited a yard with an enormous amount of pruning to do and after one day of hard work with my old standard hand pruners my wrist and hand were killing me. I decided to invest in a better pair rather than risk expensive medical intervention later on. Fiskars is a name I trust so I went with these despite other cheaper options calling my name. I knew they had the powergear but was not expecting the inner handle to "roll" inwards. What a life saver for my carpal tunnel. I never considered how much strain the motion itself of closing pruners caused. I thought it was the level of force itself paired with a repetitive motion that had caused my wrist to flare up. I had a long weekend right after receiving these and spent 90% of it out in my yard chopping away, and I woke up on day 3 with just a little soreness that faded quickly once I had moved my wrist around a bit and loosened up. But I think the amount of pruning I had done would have made even a normal person sore, so I was elated at how well these work! I'm disappointed to see there is no left handed version, as I would have sent my mom a pair immediately. I even checked their official site. Please consider adding this option, Fiskars! My only complaint is that after one season they seem to have a slight gumminess at the lock point. I'm not sure if it's something between the blades a little further inside or if it's in the lock switch itself, but I have to squeeze them a bit hard to get them to unlock sometimes. It looks like they may come apart for cleaning with an Allen wrench but I haven't had a chance to give it a go. Fingers crossed that this is a fixable problem and not a tool I will have to replace so soon. ... show more

  • OMG DONT WAIT GET THESE
Style: PowerGear2 Steel
I can’t tell you how easy to use and easy to cut your branches. I was a trimming fool outside with this. I kept looking for other things to trim, my hands which has Uncle Artie, hurts after a few minutes useing my OLD clippers. But not this,, it moves when you squeeze to make the cut so it’s easy on your hand. Hubby took them away from me when I started to head to his rose bushes. I could have made short work on the bushes but I guess I could let him use them seeing that I did get them for him. So I’m saying these are great so throw them in your basket. I’ll sure will be checking out their other products. ... show more

  • Easy for my old lady hands to use
Style: Soft Grip Bypass
These are light weight and gentle on my hands as I go snip snipping around my yard. They are one of my main go-tos in the garden for cutting or deadheading flowers. They are large enough that I was able to cut back some of the huge leaf stalks on my zucchini plants and delicate enough to cut some flowers off my purple coneflowers so they'll branch. ... show more

  • Long lasting
Style: Ultra Blade Soft Grip
Been using mine for past couple years and it is still sharp and works well. I use it a lot. I just bought another one because this one has worked well and I wanted to make sure I had a backup. Handle on current one is starting to wear a little bit.

  • so far, so good
Style: Ultra Blade Soft Grip
Haven't had these very long, but for now they are as advertised. Have only used on living branches. The cuts have been very easy. They appear to be very well built. Think they'll last a long time.

  • Fiskar Pruner-excellent
Style: PowerGear2 Steel
I have many Fiskar products and when I needed a pruner I went right to Fiskar. These are very high quality, easy to use, and continued use does NOT tire my hands. the cutting blade stays sharp and is also easy to sharpen when needed. The Fiskar customer service when something does happen is outstanding in providing assistance. ... show more

  • So smooth
Style: Ultra Blade Soft Grip
Bought this to replace other cutters I have been using, this pruner now takes the place of using scissors & another cyber I needed for thicker branches. Now I can go about working without switching tools. The lock on this tool is so neat it is on or off no locking while in use as other pruners. I have other Fiskars tools some over 20 years old & they all still work. ... show more

  • Does the job
Style: Soft Grip Bypass
I wore out a larger Fiskars tool and this replacement has been fine, although I miss the larger size of my old shears somewhat.
