Great little tank- emphasis on little This is the nano-est of nano tanks- the smallllllest allowable space for a betta, and even that is arguable (i did happily keep a betta, a nerite, a java fern and time moss balls in this, and they all lived quite happily, but i got scolded enough by betta people online that i decided to upgrade fish to a bigger situation). This tank is probably better suited to super nano fish, a quarantine/hospital tank, or a dwarf shrimp tank. I’m using it for this last option- i have some neocaridina & snails & a limpet in there with live plants and cholla and it’s humming along and very cute and happy. The glass is very very clear & of great quality. Excellent visibility. Filter is efficient and quiet (always use a sponge over the intake when keeping dwarf shrimp and small fish!). Did not come w a heater when i got it, but i bought one separately for $8 or something and was able to keep our betta & snail at a comfy 76F The light it comes with is fine, but i ended up switching to a plant-specific light that clips on. It’s fine. I didn’t use the gravel or fake plant that came with it, as i use live plants and a blended substrate of my own. Like all small tanks, it’s vulnerable to quick, potentially deadly swings, so it’s good to check parameters regularly and do what you can to keep conditions and parameters stable. But it’s a great, generally easy, and very attractive little setup. I’m considering getting another one, to keep on my nightstand so that gently waving plans and goofy little shrimp are there to greet me in the mornings. Why did you pick this product vs others?: The tank itself is nice, except for the foam on the bottom of the tank. Also, the light has burned out and no longer works. Honestly, I would like a refund. An LED light should not die after three months. Update: this tank has a terrible filter. Two Bettas have now gotten stuck in the filter somehow. Unfortunately when it happened today again, it looks like it has killed the poor fish. It is a very bad design. I wish I could send this back. ... show more

Love almost everything about it, looks nice. Rocks are a decent size but extremely dirty. Lots of washing and scrubbing needed. Surprisingly the sand is enough to have a half inch layer but I added on my own substrate. Filter on the back is extremely quiet and easy to assemble but their barcodes don’t work and it came with an extra piece that I don’t know what to do with. Their leveling mat is a disappointment though. It’s the thin white one compared to the black one I got. You will need one as this tank with only water is heavy. Everything in the cleaning set works fine except the fork. It’s too wide. The light is also bright. The only thing I haven’t used yet is the heater. The whole thing hasn’t leaked, yet. ... show more

When I first came across this listing, I was worried that the kit may contain a cheap filter like some other kits, or the items might not be of good quality. Let me tell you: It was SO easy to set up, the filter works surprisingly well, and the light was NOT dim -- it actually illuminated the tank. I even bought a second filter from elsewhere thinking that this filter might not be good, and I ended up not using it. This size was perfect for my 1 small fish, and it looks beautiful too. The glass is very clear and not cloudy. The back is a darker color. The lamp/light stopped working about 1 month after I set it up. I contacted their customer support and they sent a new lamp immediately after I showed videos of my lamp flickering. It arrived very quickly and it works like before. The customer support is very friendly and they respond super quick. Something to note is that on the product manual shows that kit was supposed to come with fake plants. It does not. Maybe at one point it did, but not now. Overall very good product and well worth what I paid for it. ... show more

I’m trying to be better at writing reviews (I’ve never written one), since I base every purchase off of reviews (thank you other people). This tank is a perfect little starter tank. It comes with everything you need, looks great, and is the perfect size for my three tiny goldfish. Things to know: - the instructions for putting the filter together are a little confusing, so definitely scan the code to watch the youtube video - the filter is a little loud at first, but after ten minutes it becomes quiet - if the spinny thing on the filter stops spinning, do not worry, it is not broken, just adjust it or move it a bit and it will start spinning again - there is another listing for this wonderfactory tank on amazon for $39.99, so look for that because it’s literally the same thing All in all, solid purchase. I will upgrade to the 3-gallon tank if/when my fish get a little bigger ... show more

    • The easiest way to describe it is… “meh.”

I’ll go down the positives first: - no leakage as of yet. - great size for the purpose. - light is good. Now for the bad: - the packaging was HORRIBLE. Everything was stuffed into the product box so much that everything was crushed just about. - the glass tank itself was incredibly dirty. I had to take it into the bathtub and use my 20 gal tank glass scraper to get the crap off of it. - the skimmer doesn’t actually function. It keeps sinking no matter what I do and doesn’t float enough to create any sort of suction. Occasionally it will, and when it does, it sucks in a ton of air and shoots nano bubbles everywhere in the tank and clouds it up for a while. Now… the worst… the noise level. It is LOUUUUUUD. If you hold the HOB off the glass, then it’s pretty quiet; manageable. But the second you hang it on the back - be ready for the sound to reverb through whatever it’s sitting on. The HOB filter is worthless. Luckily I have an extra nano air pump and diffuser so I’m just going to toss the HOB filter out and replace it with the oxygen diffuser. It’ll push enough water around and allow the bacteria to grow in the filter on top of the diffuser. Anyways. It looks great (now) but be warned that you’ll have to deep clean it, scrape it, then customize it because that HOB filter ruins the whole thing. ... show more

while it is a very aesthetically pleasing take, the filter is very finicky and the minute the water level fluctuates it quits working the heater has already stopped working and it was just delivered not even a month ago and I didn’t even put it together until a week after that. The plug gets very hot, which is concerning.. overall it is not a tank that I would purchase again. It is the smallest out of seven tanks that I have and did not meet expectations. ... show more

Honestly needed a tank asap before I could find her a better bigger rimless tank. The tank comes with so many accessories, huge plus!!! Giving it 3 stars because the filter was missing a piece to use the skimmer. I had to do so much search on how to use the filter without the missing piece. The manual didn’t come with how to adjust it. Luckily found another listing on Amazon from a different vendor on how to adjust the filter to use without the skimmer. I want to buy another tank for shrimp but scared it will come missing another piece for filter. Even my bf wanted to get it but was weary of ordering again. Update: the company made it right, adding a star for customer service. Ended up getting another tank by this seller (3gallon kit) to test out. ... show more
