It was easy to assemble. The bike comes 80% assembled. So most people shouldn't have a problem. They will need their own tool and grease since it is not provided. The bike was a present for my wife. She said that it is comfortable to ride. This bike is actually built good for the price. My wife didn't need a expensive bike like my bikes but I also didn't want to get her a Walmart bike. After researching Firmstrong was rated in the top 5 for Lady cruiser bikes. My wife like the color scheme and design so Firmstrong was the brand. The bike did have a slightly bent spoke also it was loose. Not the company fault cause the did a great job in packaging the bike. Some were along the line with the delivery company the outside package was damage. Contacted Firmstrong ,sent pictures. Tom in customer service said sorry about the rim. He said that a new rim would be sent. It was sent out that day. I would recommend this bike for anyone looking for a good looking ,sturdy bike to crusie around on. ... show more

    • adorable and economical choice for casual riders

This bike is so cute! I love the mint green color. I use it to run errands around town, and it's perfect for that purpose. It's also good for leisurely rides along our local bike trail (which is relatively flat). It's only a one speed, so it has its limits. I'm fine with that, but if you're looking for a bike for fitness or commuting purposes, this is not the bike for you. The quality of the bike seems consistent with the price. At under $200, I have no expectation that it will last forever or endure heavy use. That being said, it's probably a good choice for kids. One mistake I made was not checking how big of a frame I would need for my size. I'm 5'3 and 100lbs, and I'm probably near the upper limit of what this bike can carry. I had to adjust the seat pretty far up, but was able to find a comfortable position. However, I would have returned this one for a larger size if I wasn't so lazy. Assembly was easy and took me less than an hour. My only complaint is that allen wrenches were not included with the bike. The seller resolved this by sending me the allen wrenches, even though they don't include any tools with the bikes. That was nice of him! So hopefully you can learn from my mistake--check the assembly instructions on the Beachbikes website to make sure you have all of the tools you need before you start assembling the bike. ... show more

    • Beautiful bike but be careful if you are on the petite side
This bike is beautiful!!!! Seems well made. The problem is the bar is high for me. I’m 5’4” and moderately flexible and it’s hard for me to get my legs over the bar to ride. Which also means it’s hard to get off. So I’m fearful if it started falling for some reason I would be hurt because I would be entangled with the bike and fall all the way down. I wish I had been able to try it before buying it. As beautiful as it is I would not have bought it. It pretty much sits in the garage collecting dust because. Also it was not easy to put together particularly if adding the fender. Editing review and changed my stars because I realized I misread part of the description several times. The bike is designed for a women 5ft 6. Take that to heart unless you have long legs for your body. Beautiful bike ... show more

LOVE IT! I never write reviews but had to say how much I love my Firmstrong Beach Cruiser! I live in NYC and yup... this bike is solid AND stylish (mine is black w/pink rims), if I hit a bump I just gently bounce lol The roomy seat and wide handle bars make it so comfortable and I prefer the "back peddle" breaking, much more natural for me, just like my 1st childhood bike. Goodbye to my stationary bike, getting out and riding my cruiser makes exercise enjoyable, my neighbor now wants one. If you have questions before ordering "Beachbikes" makes it so easy and personable to decide, I called and the sales rep. answered all my questions AND there are video's on their website to help choose the right size bike for you. If you're looking for a nice cruising bike and want to look stylish, for me NYC stylish, this is YOUR bike, just choose your color! Oh... and the bike comes practically fully assembled, took about 20 minutes to put together, ok maybe 30 :) ... show more

I'm 5'0" tall; I ordered the 24" single-speed model, and it fits my petite frame perfectly. I got the mint green color, and it's so pretty and girly...I love it! My husband assembled the bike during his lunch break, and I was riding around the neighborhood that afternoon. The box it came in conveniently lists the tools that are needed to assemble the bike. Make sure you have a set of allen wrenches, as a lot of the assembly relies on this tool. The Urban Lady is perfect for casual riding along flat surfaces. I own a mountain bike, but I like to use this cruiser when I'm just riding around the neighborhood and don't want to fuss with all the gears on my mountain bike. The coaster brakes are easy to use and remind me of the bikes I rode as a kid. The wide seat makes for a comfortable ride, even when going over small bumps in the road. If you want a casual, cute, affordable cruiser, the Urban Lady is a solid choice. ... show more
