We tired these out while camping over the weekend and they worked great! It was much easier than trying to collect a bunch of leaves and small sticks. There was a decent breeze when we tried them, and it had no trouble at all starting some decent size sticks. They have a bit of a weird scent, somewhat like a bunch of different candles melted together, but it's not bad at all. They say they can burn for 20 minutes, but that's definitely not the case if it's in a fire. That might be true if you just burn it on it's own, but I don't want to waste one to find out! Even so, starting a fire has never been easier. I will definitely miss these if I forget to bring them when we go camping!

These little wax filled ketchup cups look like a kids project, but they work easier than hosing with lighter fluid. I found their fragrance a bit bothersome, it’s similar to cologne and I’m wondering if the recycled wax comes from scented candles. I kept smelling them in my living quarters so they had to go outside.

These compact little fire starters don't light up instantly like a candle would. Instead, you have to hold your flame to it for a bit and wait for it to catch on. But once it does, you get a slow long burn that lasts until your firewood is ablaze. Super handy for the wood stove, fireplace, or fire pit. For just 50¢ a starter, this is great product.

Before this, I was placing balled up scrap paper to put under my charcoal chimney starter which yielded mixed results. These firestarter cups are SO much more efficient and faster. They are non-toxic too.
