It looks like the company who makes this (and many of the other identical locks) must have listened to the reviews by a couple of the locksmith/pickers on YouTube. They have fixed the issues with this lock that they pointed out. Of course, no lock is 100% secure, I don't care who makes it. A grinder with a cut-off wheel will open one every time. But as far as this lock being easily and quickly accesses that has been fixed. This lock is very secure. My hands get pretty beat up with what I do for a living so the finger print reader does not always work. When my finger is not chewed up, and rough, it works every time. The app is a little clunky but it is very secure with it's separate password. You also must use the app to connect it to a secure bluetooth connection. I have had this lock for a while now and it has yet to be picked, unlike some of the other I was using. ... show more

Good idea,I got one and it was working fine, until for some reason the green light started blinking and got stuck. At first with the light ( because i used it for my gate) it looked like a color blue. I thought it needed charging. Plug it in to charge for about 2 hours or a bit less. The light kept being on and I just couldn't open it. I tried to connect it with the app but it kept saying that i needed to wake up the lock by touching it. I did and nothing, no response. I hoped it would run out of battery but nothing. Unfortunately i ran out of options because i really needed to get out to do my errands. So unfortunately i had to break it. I did searched for info but there's no enough information. All i found is that if there was no response then the lock wasn't good anymore. To sum up I couldn't get out of my house from morning till almost dawn. Not very reliable. Used it for about 3 weeks, and no, it has not been raining. I did used it early morning and worked fine. This is an amazing little lock. I have it 4 months now and incredibly, it still has 100% charge that I did on day 1. It recognizes all 10 fingers rapidly ( I had friends try their fingerprints and it didn't work). Another feature that I like and gives peace of mind is the phone Bluetooth backup. I love the biometric tech but, first and foremost, it's a lock, it's supposed to be built like a lock to do locky stuff. This lock seems ridiculously fragile and, after researching, there are plenty of videos to prove it is. Furthermore, the fingerprint scanner is finicky. I encourage the company to keep making a biometric locks, I'd buy several, IF they are willing to fix real world problems rather than relying on gimmick technology to sell a few quick units before the word gets out. ... show more

It finally happened, I started having issues reading my old padlock so I started looking for other options and this was perfect. At first, I did have issues opening the padlock when getting out of the steam room and workout. My body would not stop sweating no matter how much I wiped my fingers off. I found the trick is to tap tap tap on the lock with your finger, instead of rubbing or leaving the finger on it. With this method, I'm able to open the lock no matter how wet my hands are. I've been using the lock for about 2 months now and the battery is still at %100 percent. The lock bar is a lot thinner than I expected. I would not feel good about using this anywhere besides a gym locker or a school locker. Overall I'm very happy with this lock. ... show more

I bought this as a lock for my back gate because I wanted some thing that I could easily use to get in an out and give others access such as my pool guy and lawnmower. Set up was about as complicated as expected. About the same as recording my finger prints on my iPhone. It worked OK for about a month. However it was never easy. Every time it would take multiple attempts for it to read the fingerprint. My pool guy actually had three fingerprints loaded and it never wanted to read his so I always had to come out and do it myself. Then finally today it just stopped working. No lights on. I tried rebooting it with power and nothing worked it’s just dead. I can’t find any type of support or troubleshooting. So now I need to find bolt cutters to get it off my gate. You have touch id on your phone and maybe even your laptop so why not have it for your lock. I saw this on amazon a while ago and I was intrigued by the idea of my safety lock having a fingerprint scanner. I finally succumbed to my fascination and haven't regretted it since. The touch id works well not as great as lets say an iphones more like one for a windows hello device. The only thing you need to worry about is charging. But with a battery life of six months this is only a minor concern. Plus the device shows a red led if the battery is getting low and you have plenty of time from seeing that light indicator to actually charging the device. I got the device early this year and I have only charged it once with consistent use. If you wanted a lock with this functionality I would say definitely go with this one. ... show more
