This is a great dog bed if you have or can buy a new pad to put in it. The best thing I have found to replace the unusable separate cushion is a velour foam bath mat or a flat dog bed.. These are sturdy, fit well inside the dog bed and the dog likes them. The dog did not like the crinkly cushion that came with the bed. He moved it around and the stuffing, even though inside the nice zipper cover, came out of the fabric around the stuffing. I did find a use for that cushion. It's great for stuffing a pillow sham. I'm still looking for a use for the cushion cover. I gave it a five overall because the sides are firm but comfortable as a pillow for him and it washes and dries very well. I gave it a three for softness because without a separate cushion, it's not a soft bed. The dog really likes this so I have purchased two of these. But, from my point of view, the cost of this was the Amazon price plus a new cushion. I really like this dog bed but I do wish it had come with a usable cushion. ... show more

Chose this bed for my dog who has suffered a severe back injury. It offers great support, fits perfectly in his crate, and the sherpa side is SUPER soft (the other side is little stiffer and slick, but good quality). Not sure how "waterproof" it is -- because I didn't want to wash it everyday, I've put a reusable pee pad on top, covered by a blanket. But it's a well made, excellent product. ... show more

I originally bought this to put in my Corgi's kennel, it fit a little snug and it was so soft. I like how it was double sided but when you flip it to use the other side the zipper sticks out like a sore thumb. The only complaint that I have is that I was so easily ripped up.

I am so picky when it comes to the perfect dog bed and I’m not even the one using it. Lol. Our favorite one we ever found came from Sam’s Club - it is memory foam with a super soft removable washable cover and it looks stylish. Unfortunately, we could never find it again. So, I searched Amazon for months reading reviews trying to find the perfect, washable, large dog bed for an affordable price. This is it! I’ve washed and dried it twice now and it’s held up great. My girls jumped on it right out of the packaging. I love that it has a zipper closure so easy to clean - I would not put it in the dryer for fear that it might shrink and be hard to put back on. It’s perfect for an xtra large dog that is double coated and gets hot. One side is fleece and the other is lined with a cool material. Lightweight and washable. I bought this because my Akita has arthritis and needs to get off the hard floor. He has actually been using it. Perfect!

I have a 120 pound bloodhound and this bed is perfect. Holds up great and I have washed the cover at least 20 times over the last couple years. ( I always zip is closed when washing). Only reason getting a new one is because it is wearing a bit now that's it has been 2 years. The price is right, too. Just went into a big sporting good store and similar bed was nearly $80.00 with the terrible flat pillow insert. Can't go wrong with this bed. ... show more
