Fingerprint reader does not read small fingers (which do not cover the whole area of the reader). Unfortunately, it does not tell you, behaves as if the fingerprint is stored, but does not open with this finger. Also, one cannot delete this fingerprint anymore. But that's a minor issue, the kids should remember numbers after all :-). Slightly disappointing is the fact that (not using the automatic locking) one cannot lock from outside without the key. This lock was easy to install and has worked perfectly since. I programmed four fingerprints and the lock reads each one 90% of the time. No more fumbling for keys (but it does come with two keys) or you can use a code that you program. I installed it about a month ago and the batteries are going strong. Relatively easy to install and it was my first time installing a lock. I wish there was written instructions on the website. There are only videos there. (Or a printed instruction manual you didn't need a microscope to read.) I tried repeatedly to set the master code and got all the expected green lights, but it wouldn't set. I missed the detail that you have to enter the new code twice. Also, one thing I wish I had considered before picking this lock is that it would be better and more "natural" to have the numberpad the same as either the computer keypad or phone pad we are accustomed to. The codes are 8 digits long and it would be faster & easier to do if the keypad was arranged the way we are familiar with. ... show more

So it came with no instructions which sucked for setting it up. Installing was a breeze but we had to watch a whole ton of videos that we didn’t want or need to even know to get to the ones we did need to access the panel board and set it up. Now that we have it set I do enjoy it for the most part but still issues. If the door isn’t shut exactly a particular way it sets there winding over and over again trying to lock. If you leave the door open on a nice day it clicks anyway and then you go to shut the door and bam you have taken chips of paint from the frame because the lock is out! It’s handy when your hands are full but then it’s not.. I would still trade it for a key lock though! ... show more

I like this lock. Initially I ordered one from another company on Amazon but everything failed on the setup--and I tried with two locks. The reset never worked (there was a hole for the reset pin but it never moved when pressed). From Zowill, the lock looks to be exactly the same down to the smallest detail. However, the reset works. That was pleasing. The lock and unlock function works without problems. Unfortunately the fingerprint function appears to work when fingerprints are added but then the lock doesn't read them. After trying multiple times with different fingers I contacted Zowill support and after reviewing a video of my attempts they kindly offered immediately to send another lock. Very nice! ... show more

I was skeptical about buying this deadbolt because it’s not a known brand and it’s fairly cheap but I’m very happy with it. Installation was very easy it took me less than 10 min to install it. Programming instructions are good. Finger print option works almost instantly and has not failed once (I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now) unless there will be durability issues down the road, I highly recommend this product especially at this price. ... show more

I love this smart lock, it certainly looks wonderful on the front door of our 100+ year old farmhouse. Very easy to install and program. I did put in my finger and thumb print because it's kinda choosy between the two. That's my only bug bear. Otherwise it recognises finger/thumb prints immediately and opens the door within seconds.
