This item look nice, easy to install and set (programmed) properly. But operated only for six weeks with 4 weeks warranty/returned period expired. I like the item, but apparently internally has poor quality/weak weld. The handle open/close properly for 6 weeks and for unknown reason the internal parts do not engaged and no more open/close from the outside. Not recommended. ... show more

We bought to keep our kids out of our stuff and worked great for months. We registered our fingerprints and added the 6# code. Unfortunately my son figured out how easy it it to add another fingerprint. My biggest problem is why have the 6# code and not be bound by it to add a fingerprint. 2 easy buttons and he has full access.....maybe too easy to use.?.?.? ... show more

We needed to have our pantry door lockable for when the grandkids visit as the really young ones are, shall we say, "adventurous". But a keypad deadbolt for a door that is visible in the entire kitchen would be woefully out of place (read: ugly). Moreover, having to type in a code each time is a pain in the ... So, here we have a triple win! It is essentially a door handle (FYI only lights up when you touch it). It uses your fingerprint -- your thumb naturally rests on the round black patch that is the sensor when you grab the handle -- and you will hear the motor unlock. (You can also use a 6-digit code.) And, it can quickly be put into unlock mode for when our house is back to normal with another press of a button. I installed it in about 10 minutes. OK, we have only had it a day, so let's see how long it lasts and how effective it will be in another month when the visitors come. I will do an update then. Meanwhile, I cannot find anything wrong with this unit. This silver unit is close enough to brushed nickel to fake it -- it would be better if they actually had one in brushed nickel -- but that, readers, is my only complaint. ... show more
