Very nice, SAFE heater / fireplace. But, you have to put it together (2 to 3 hours). So, what is nice about it. For starters it is very attractive and larger than most portable heater / fireplaces. This one is 30 inches tall and 32 inches wide, but only 9 inches thick. More good news, it is CSA certified and has a UL plug. Moreover, it automatically shuts off when tipped over--great safety features. Other features include: a remote with total control; partial control on the unit itself, a THERMOSTAT with programmable temperature and time; a shelf top and nice style, color and design. In addition, the flame has 3 settings, and can work independently from the heater--nice. Lastly, it heats my two hundred square foot room by itself with no problem. To wrap things up, this heater / fireplace is a good value for your money as long as it lasts for several years. Oh, I have used it for about two weeks now--no problems. However, I do suggest that with any of these types of heaters, you should plug it in and test the heater/fireplace mechanics and remote for twenty minutes or so BEFORE you put it together. Some of the necessary holes to assembly were missing, or very misplaced (as shown in pictures) Haven’t been able to contact the seller so far about it. Will keep updates here. Apart from that assembly wasn’t very hard. Very similar to IKEA furniture, in quality and assembly. They numbered the pieces and that made it much easier, I really appreciated that. It took me two hours to put this thing together by myself and there were several holes missing to screw into, or the holes were too big and the screw kept going around and around. To put the actual firebox up, there were no holes in the pieces needed. But on top of that the fireplace is super tiny and not worth the money or time. I had to take the entire thing apart and then lug it to the FedEx place after several back and forth emails from customer service that wanted pictures of the parts missing holes. The media could not be loaded. Really nice fireplace to match our cabin shelf home. The heat output is pretty good given that our living room is rather big a drafty. I like that it blows the air out rather than radiating heat. The fire itself is able to be adjusted with three settings with the lowest giving off a low glow similar to the video.
