Install easy + I like the appearance and function, especially the fingerprint. I've got a couple of other devices that use fingerprint but they are very fussy about EXACT finger placement and give me a lot of trouble on occasion. Not so the Teeho. Build quality though, not so much. I'm replacing a 15 year old lock because the battery leads corroded (I live in Florida) and broke when I tried to replace the battery. That lock was built like a tank and was still mechanically perfect. It weighs 2-3 pounds, unlike the Teeho, which weighs a few ounces. Having been in the commercial construction biz for decades, when it comes to door hardware, I associate weight with quality. I'll see how long I'll get out of this but I'll bet it isn't 15 years. Edit: after two weeks, I like the function of this lock. The fingerprint reader is great, fast and trouble free. Some of the reviews on this product said it totally drained the batteries in a day or two. My fresh batteries were 1.59 Volts on installation and I just checked them at 1.58 Volts after 2 weeks. I'd have to try that again in another few weeks to accurately predict battery life because of rounding errors but a AA at 1.2 Volts is considered drained, and that's not going to happen with my unit in less than somewhere around a year. My batteries are Amazon Basics BTW, get some high end AA lithiums if you REALLY want extended battery life. ... show more

Great value door key code lock. I love the fingerprint feature. Works well when your hands are full. I would prefer support for rechargeable batteries with a usb charging option. Currently it takes 4 AA. I have installed 3 of these. Installation and configuration is straight forward but read the instructions. They are well written. Key point is that the deadbolt must open/close without any friction. This may require adjustments to your door latch. ... show more

I have ordered many of these. They work great with the many entry and lock options. Even easy for the kids. They do work ok with battery life. Always use high quality batteries and it lasts longer. This was very easy to install, had a great look (which it looks just as good in person as in the picture) and gave me all the options I needed plus the fingerprint option. ***Initial Post---Things have changed! I am a typical man. I installed the lock reading little of the directions provided. When I got the lock installed I could not get the bolt to turn the right way. I thought it may have been an obstruction but it wouldn't move when the door was open. Turns out, all I needed to do was reset it. It is one of the last parts of the directions. Took me two days thinking about it and trying to figure it out. It is now installed and working great! 09-26-2024 I purchased this item in Jan of 2023. As read above, I had trouble with the installation as there was a technical issue within the electronics itself. Installation was sufficient. Once installed, lock worked fine. About a month ago my batteries ran out for the first time. I quickly replaced the batteries with top of the line Duracell lithium batteries only to have them die 3 days later. I thought it was odd and that may Duracell wasn't as good as a battery as it was priced. I finished out the pack of Duracell batteries and consistently had that problem so my thoughts about Duracell as a brand continued as I remembered that I had EverReadys in there prior to the initial battery change and they had lasted a long time. So I went back and bought the same type of battery I had before. 3 days later, batteries are dead. I reached out to Teeho for help and they gave me a list of things to do. The last on the list was to send them a picture of the battery holder without batteries so I followed the steps and it still didn't work. I sent over the picture and the response was basically they were sorry it stopped working but since it had been over a year since I purchased it there was nothing they could do. They did offer me a $10 refund but It felt more like a slap in the face. According to the reviews it seems that most of the locks work (at least initially) but for the ones that are faulty, Teeho does not stand behind them.     • Good Value for the Money But Not Quite Good Enough

I've had this unit for a couple of years now but am looking for a replacement. While certainly a good value for the money, a device like this which you rely on every day as the sole means to get in your home needs to a pass a pretty high bar and this one just doesn't quite make it. The problem in particular concerns the fingerprint reader. If my finger is at all cold or wet from being outside it will fail to recognize it. Simply rubbing it against clothing won't solve the problem. Worse than this, after failing for a number of times in a row it will lock you out from trying. This wouldn't be a showstopper except for the fact that when it locks you out it also appears to lock out the alternative method of entering a code on the keypad. Result is I have been stuck outside in the cold a number of times waiting for it to reset and allow me to try again. Other than that the unit has been pretty reliable. The only other issue I have is that the body is all plastic. Luckily no one has tried, but a simple screwdriver could theoretically be used to break it off. Its replacement will need to be made of metal and have a more robust fingerprint reader even if that unfortunately means it will cost more. ... show more
