Its a circle. Its metal. If you squeeze the metal flexes, but it doesn’t instantly change sheet. My only complaint is that I can tell these aren’t absolutely perfect circles. I've used these several times to bake cookies/biscuits and form meat patties. They are easy to clean and durable, but I do recommend hand washing and not putting them in the dishwasher. Highly recommend.

I bought these to make some shortbreads- always trying some new recipe on my friends and I LOVE these cutters - yes, just rounds, but I’ve made sugar cookies, biscuits, black cocoa sugar cookies (Halloween) - nice edges easy to use and clean easily. Cuts dough easily, although it could be bigger I cannot complain, it's my fault, sizes are already shown for guide. I use this to cut through my gyoza dough and they are very sharp without actually cutting your skin cause of the silicone on the other side. Over all very good purchase for its price.
