I bought this raincoat because I walk to work, and live in Japan, where we have heavy rains almost all summer. I needed something light, something waterproof, and something cute and pink, and this coat checked all of my boxes! The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the coat was surprisingly well-made for the price. No loose threads, etc. The fit is so flattering, and I love that I can cinch the coat at the waist with the belt to make my curves POP. The material is incredibly light that even when I wear it in 80°F/27°C weather, I don’t feel like I’m suffocating in the heat. Of course, it is still a coat, so I am sweaty, but it’s minor. Most importantly, the heavy rains during my 1.5 mi/2 km walk to work are no match for this coat. I get to work perfectly dry! If you’re looking for a fashionable and functional raincoat for a decent price, 1000% this is the cost for you!

The insulated version is warm and I'm 5'7 so the sleeves are a little short on me since I got a small and the hood keeps falling off my head but it's stylish though.

After trying several other trench coats this is by far the one! I always read reviews so I’ll try & be informative. First, the fit, (I’m 5’5 144lbs 39x31x39, hourglass shape, athletic build with broad shoulders). I ordered the M. Perfect fit with extra room for a chunky sweater. The item is lined and comes with a hood that snaps on & is not overly cumbersome. I have yet to wear it, however it feels light enough for a 70 degree rainy day, yet warm enough for “chill to the bone” rainy days too. In colder months layered properly that is, you’d be fine. Belt is perfect length, and after tied/buckled, the bottom fabric is still somewhat fitted & doesn’t flare out with a lot of extra fabric, like a bell (a problem I found with many other trenches). There is no slit in the back. It has nice structure all around without feeling constricted. The shoulders and under the armpits are roomy, even though I have broad shoulders, as mentioned. Color- I got the grey, elegant & quite beautiful. It’s not too shiny but still has a slight sheen to it but not tacky or cheap looking. It will definitely enhance any outfit I own. I’m actually waiting on another from Amazon and know I’ll be returning it bc this is the one! Considering ordering another, worth the money on this item ladies. Hope this helped.

This coat is comfortable and warm, and is very water resistant. I wore this walking around Paris in a steady/light rain for almost an hour and when I got back to the hotel, the water had penetrated the coat and my shirt underneath was damp. I would say the first 30 min in steady rain was fine, but then the coat started to not be waterproof.

I really like this jacket. It has a great high quality look and feel. It’s thicker and more structured than I thought it would be for a rain coat. I love the hood that is detachable! I went up a size to wear over sweaters if I wanted. It fits true to size, maybe a tad big.

The red coat is a beautiful color, perfect color or red. The jacket fits large so I'd go down 1 size, as I ordered an XL and it was huge and re-ordered a Large. The first package arrived beautifully packaged. Brand new coat fold in plastic with cardboard and tissue paper between folds. Hung it to release creases and within a short period the coat hung perfectly and ready to wear. Has a detachable hood. However, the re-order arrived in a generic plastic bag and when I open it the coat was literally rolled up in a ball, hood detached and stuck in the bag. Completely unbuttoned with belt detached. It was a wrinkled mess and clearly a return without any care of re-packaging it. It's been hanging for 2 days and still just as wrinkled as it was balled up in the bag. I was so disappointed because nobody wants to receive an item that they took care in selecting arrive in this condition and we don't want to know that somebody else had it, clearly wore it and returned it and it was immediately shipped out to an unsuspecting customer knowing that it had been worn and unclean. The 2nd order took a bit longer to receive than the 1st order (couple of weeks) and I'm returning it again and this time not because of sizing but because of the condition of the coat upon arrival. This was an impulse buy on Cyber Monday. I was as looking for a trench coat with a hood and found this. I was worried it was going to be too small in the arm and tight in hips. I am tall and hippy and this coat fits me perfectly. The belt is a little long even for me so I have to put the ends in each pocket when the coat is not buttoned up. Also, I am able to wear thicker long sleeves with this coat and it is still roomy and comfortable. I have not wore it during the rain yet but the hood covers all of my long hair. I like this coat so much I want to get it in another color. Great coat for ladies on the thicker side.
