  • Great For Beginners Great For Beginners
Color: Set C
WHAT I LOVED: I have no experience with polygel and on my 2nd try I got better results. The product is easy to use, it's not sticky or runny and gives you plenty of time to model the nail before starting to dry. Got surprised that the little lamp works great and the colors are beautiful. The nails are very resistant, I'm sure this time they'll last longer since I Improved my technique, my 1st nails lasted 5days before 1 broke. The black color needs 2 coats of polygel to be all dark, if you do 1 will look like french nails. With no experience I was able to do my nails in 3hs ( filling the nails took the majority of the time, so a nail drill would've reduced the time a lot, still I love filling my nails while binging Netflix) THINGS TO IMPROVE: It would've been great to get at least 1 or 2 nail tip clips to hold the nail while working on the posterior side and to clean up the cuticles without having to hold the nail with your fingers since that adds some difficulty. They should improve the instructions on the back or just add a QR Code that takes you to a YouTube how to video, bcs there's a lot of things not explained I had to learn watching nail art videos online. ... show more

  • Easy to use, Long lasting nails, looks as good as acrylics
Color: Set C
I've been wanting acrylic nails for a long time now and cannot afford it, so I got this kit instead. I will say, it's a bit of a learning curve but so far, these babies have held up fairly well. I made my first set pretty long too so -- if you want easy, DIY nails that look and feel just as good as acrylics or gel with tips, get this kit! Only bummer is it doesn't come with instructions, or how long to cure the nails. I would do twice on the lamp once you get the actual gel on, and just make sure you smooth out the underside of the gel too or it gets goopy fast. ... show more

  • Great first polygel kit! Great first polygel kit!
Color: Set C
Seems good quality! I already buy the gaoy regular gel polishes and those are my fave. First time using polygel and it was quite hard trying to figure it out but I should be able to get the hang of it with a few more tries. I normally like to do a natural nail look and am not into the designs or long nails look either and for this purpose I found the dual forms to be too curved for a natural nail look. It was too curved that it did not sit flush on my nail bed at all causing this weird “flipped” look on the nail. If you are like me with a more flat nail bed I suggest getting a flatter dual form (I know I will). I also have really small hands and nails and there were enough sizes of the dual forms in the kit to accommodate this which is pretty nice. I usually do my own nails and usually do gel or dip, I found this to have a more difficult learning curve than other types of nail products. My main issue was trying to get the right amount of product in the form - its pretty hard for a first timer! I cured all of the nails and they did look messy but I used a nail drill to make sure to smoothen any rough edges and clean up the work. I also watched a few you tube vids on how to apply poly gel but got nowhere near the application they did on the video (its that difficult). I dont think anyone would get it on their first try. Overall I think it looks like it will last a long time and the look of it looks great! I hate growing out my nails personally so this solves the issue of wanting that lengthened look. Great product HUGE learning curve! Watch vids!!!! ... show more

  • Better than expected but takes a bit of practice
Color: Set C
I didn’t expect my nails to look as good as they do after taking off the forms. I’ve done my own nails for quite some time after paying every two weeks for nearly 30 years. I thought I would have to file or drill more to shape them but most of the work came in cleaning up the underside of my nails. I would suggest that you buy nail clips to help hold the form while placing your finger under the light (mine tended to pop up if I didn’t hold it). Oh and my light never came on even after charging it. That was a bummer but luckily I had a light that worked great. I love the natural pink color and look forward to trying the others as well. I would suggest you follow the process outlined on the bottom of the box but add in a nail clip so that when the form squishes down on the product you can use the brush and scraper to clean up around the edges of the form and absolutely under neath your nails. That area got really thick and I had to use my drill to fix it but otherwise my nails feel strong and look great! Even with being fairly experienced with doing my nails this process did take quite a while for my first time. I’m sure I will get better and faster with practice and the use of a nail clip. Overall great product for the cost. I hope your light works or you have one already! ... show more

  • Great for newbies!!
Color: Set C
This set so far is exactly what I was looking for. I initially bought it so I could fill in my current nails without spending $40-$60 for a refill for Halloween when I plan on changing them afterward. I also want to try to do my own nails instead of paying so much at a salon. My friend does an amazing job but I also need to choose what's more feasible for my budget. If I can create my own nail looks even if they don't turn out perfectly then this investment will be more than worth it. I barely used any of the clear to fill in my cuticles so there's plenty left. I can also use the clear as the base and cover the nails with either nail stickers from Shein or gel polish or regular polish. It's a win no matter which direction I go. I will say using the Emory board to shorten my nails took some time and made my hands very tired so I may invest in a nail dremel to speed up that process. Great buy for a newb. ... show more

  • Gel Doesn't Cure
Color: Set C
After trying the curing light that came with this set, as well as a professional curing light from a family member, the poly gel will not cure - regardless of how long it is exposed to the curing light. I tried upwards of 3 full uninterrupted minutes, and it still would not cure. Because it didn't cure properly, it also gave me severe nail fungus on every finger that took three weeks to recover from. DO NOT BUY. ... show more

  • Great quality
Color: Set C
Entire kit was well worth the money. First set was a little hard to do as I've never used this before. After doing a second set of nails and more sets it is super easy to use.

I bought this because I wanted to try a different method, I'd been using gel tips. To say these turned out great is an understatement, I loved the colors and application ❤️ honestly this kit is such a great investment because it's not expensive at all. It even has the UV lamp. I love the kit!!!
