  • Really great for beginners
Color: Set A
Love love love this! My first time trying it as I want to start doing my nails. It isn’t as messy as regular acrylic would be and is. The instructions are very clear and you have everything you need. I did my first set using the white and it lasted all week! Definitely true when they say practice makes perfect, so it’ll take me a bit to get it down pat but i definitely recommend this kit for a beginner! ... show more

  • Great For Beginners
Color: Set C
WHAT I LOVED: I have no experience with polygel and on my 2nd try I got better results. The product is easy to use, it's not sticky or runny and gives you plenty of time to model the nail before starting to dry. Got surprised that the little lamp works great and the colors are beautiful. The nails are very resistant, I'm sure this time they'll last longer since I Improved my technique, my 1st nails lasted 5days before 1 broke. The black color needs 2 coats of polygel to be all dark, if you do 1 will look like french nails. With no experience I was able to do my nails in 3hs ( filling the nails took the majority of the time, so a nail drill would've reduced the time a lot, still I love filling my nails while binging Netflix) THINGS TO IMPROVE: It would've been great to get at least 1 or 2 nail tip clips to hold the nail while working on the posterior side and to clean up the cuticles without having to hold the nail with your fingers since that adds some difficulty. They should improve the instructions on the back or just add a QR Code that takes you to a YouTube how to video, bcs there's a lot of things not explained I had to learn watching nail art videos online. ... show more

  • Beginning Friendly Polygel.
Color: Set A
The kit includes everything you need to do a full set. Lamp is mini and does the job. For my first try the gel was easy to work with, slip solution is a little thick, I might try rubbing alcohol next time to see if that works. Be careful not to over fill the nail forms, that can cause spillage. There's no need to press hard on the nail form, the gel does keep the form in place as you cure. 60 sec. Was enough time to cure. ... show more

  • Learning curve!
Color: Set A
There is def a learning curve! Do not attempt this if you do not have at least 2 hours to sit down and dedicate to this especially your first time! I will say after my first set I was like welp maybe this wasn’t made for people like me. The pics are from my second set which I did slower and dedicated more time to and I have to say I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the nail salon! They look professionally done! Even my boss asked and was in shock when I said I did them myself! Take your time and watch lots of videos! Do 1 at a time! And most importantly follow the directions! This is not one of those my way is better things! I tried that It didn’t work. I did have to jimmy rig my thumb since the kit didn’t come with a nail wide enough so I did it twice, once as far to the left as I could then added a light layer onto the right side of a nail and applied that. I used a dermal to file it down and make it look seamless but you can get the same look with a nail file it will just take longer. The amount of money I’m saving by using this is worth 10 stars! Kit comes with everything you need. I am super happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Pretty good
Color: Set A
It’s a solid kit for beginners but lawd the learning curve. The gel was a bit sticky and temperamental, and the slip solution is basically your new best friend. UV light worked fine though. End result: nails looked cute… from a safe distance.

  • Very decent kit for most beginners
Color: Set A
Note: This was my very first time doing a polygel kit and I have never done an acrylic set so I have nothing against which to compare it. Pros: Fairly easy to use if you follow the instructional video. It really is as easy as they make it seem for the most part. Make sure to put the gel on your nail. I tried to start by putting it in the duo form and it was an absolute mess. Mine came with the slip solution but I preferred propyl alcohol. For the most part all of the tools you'll need are in the kit. However, I can't see many of them lasting beyond one good set. A great kit to see if its something you want/can do. Cons: All of the polygels are clear or pink. I have dark skin and was attracted to the "neutral nude" but as you can see in the photo it's also really a pink. The UV lamp isn't really strong enough and I bought my own. The brush it came with is already frayed after my first set and I'll have to purchase another. You really need a nail drill. You could get away filing by hand but this will only work it they come out of the form perfect. A nail drill makes filing much faster AND makes it possible to free add gel and sand it smooth. It's not really possible to sand a freehand gel application smooth by hand. Despite being a novice, I had to free hand on the sides of my thumbs because I have larger nail beds and the "0" duo form, the largest in the kit, was not large enough to cover my thumbs. Not cons, but additional suggestions: A bigger UV lamp, nail drill, and nail clips would really make it easier to do your nails. If you have large nail beds, you may also need more duo forms. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I loved how it turned out for my first time. A great little kit for my first time and for any beginner. Having done it once, I will probably buy pieces separately in the future as opposed to buying another kit. The gel quality seems great and there was no smell. I would definitely buy from GAOY again. ... show more

  • Must buy
Color: Set A
I Love love love this product. It was beyond simple to use. There was enough in each tube to do maybe 2-4 sets. I will say it will depend on how much you use. A little goes a long way. I got a previous gel kit on amazon so i didnt get to test the uv lamp. But the nail clippers are great, great files and buffers. The brush is absolutely amazing. I loved all of it. I also would say there id a 8.99 drill on amazon that made it filing 10x easier. the polygel is easy to file with what they gave . Dont second guess buy it !! So happy with my purchase. The picture was prior to filing the cuticle. ... show more
