  • Excellent prosumer performance
Style: F2W
The media could not be loaded. I owned hikmicro b10 thermal imager, lost it during an inspection, so I needed a replacement. I found TESLONG with a claimed 256x192 IR sensor with camera and a 3.2 inch screen, which screen size was important to me especially without WiFi. However the TESLONG does not perform so I purchased F2W as well. F2W performs like hikmicro and is same MFG sourced as the B10. The WiFi on F2W works well and F2W has a superior sensor. TESLONG claimed 25hz refresh rate does not perform well, the image is noisy and has a dark center circle region. The default gradient isn’t tuned well, as you can see from my photos the peak should be white red but it does not display white red. The thermal reading accuracy could be questionable as it differs from F2W. I liked the TESLONG settings interface as it is not a full screen interface that blocks the view. Contrast was set as default normal and not using “fusion” or “super resolution”. Super resolution fails the enhance the image and reduces refresh rate even further. TESLONG uses the shutter and calibration mode every 5 seconds or so and takes longer to boot than F2W F2W performs just like HIKmicro b10 256x192 sensor, WiFi was smooth and the app allowed recording pictures and video. The temperate seemed more accurate and the sensor is just that more sensitive with a better gradient, no darker spot in the center. Sensor calibration happens less frequently and is much faster shutter during calibration. F2W does not have an imaging sensor but can clearly see the outline of my room and pc setup, which means it has great sensitivity. I disable super resolution on F2W as well Not all sensors are made equal, lens, aperture, software calibration, image processing matters. Not just the resolution The price points were 50$ apart so I’m keeping HSFTOOL F2W for its superior performance, image quality, WiFi, useable app, and soft rubber protection ... show more

  • Clear images, fast response, smart detection, and reliable software.
Style: F2W
I’ve been using the F2W thermal camera for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The image quality is excellent — the super resolution mode really makes a difference, giving me clear thermal images that rival more expensive models I’ve tried. The 25Hz refresh rate keeps the screen smooth with no lag, which is especially helpful when scanning larger areas. The intelligent scene detection feature is a huge time-saver. It automatically flags insulation gaps and potential moisture issues without me having to guess what I’m looking at. I used it around my house and was able to quickly identify spots where heat was escaping. Connectivity is another big plus. The app makes it easy to transfer images to my phone, and the PC software allows for detailed analysis and reporting. I really like being able to share images directly from my phone when I’m on a job site. The wide temperature range (-4°F to 1022°F) gives me the flexibility to use this tool for both home inspections and mechanical work. The ability to set alerts for hot or cold spots adds peace of mind, especially when monitoring electrical equipment. Build quality is solid, and it comes with a nice carrying case. Battery life has been more than enough for my daily use. For under $300, this camera punches way above its weight class. ... show more

  • Good clarity & value.
Style: F2W
I previously owned a FLIR One Gen 3, and started having the battery issues that plague it. Its thermal resolution was poor, but it was usable due to the visual image overlay. It never had great battery life, and it was, of course, chained to the particular phone that the adapter fit. The FLIR One is made in China, and FLIR does not repair or offer parts for it past their 2 year warranty. So I wasn't too happy with FLIR. I looked at FLIR's stand-alone models, but they are extremely expensive for anything that has a bigger/better battery and improved thermal resolution. So I took a look at other brand's IR cameras, and stumbled upon the HFSTools F2W. I've only been using it a couple of days, but it is clearly a much better value than what FLIR has to offer. The IR resolution is significantly better than the FLIR ONE Gen 3, so much so that for the vast majority of situations, I don't miss the visual overlay at all. It just isn't necessary because the clarity of the HFSTools image is so much better. The ability to detect minor temperature differences seems better as well. It boots up much faster than the FLIR. And it isn't chained to a phone, which is ergonomically awkward in use. The downloadable software is adequate, not quite as smooth as FLIR, but it does what I need it to. A caveat, though, is that if you need to print reports to document your results (say, if you are a home inspector or plant manager), I think that the visual overlay would be necessary, to make it easier for the client/supervisor to understand what they are looking at. An example would be an image of a duct outlet on an otherwise thermally uniform wall--which wall is it on? If you need that functionality (I don't), I would recommend the HFSTools F2VW instead , for $90 more, which has the visual overlay capability. I thought about getting that one; but I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money, the visual overlay isn't necessary to see what I need to see. The manufacturer states that all HSFTOOLS products are backed by a 12-month warranty and lifetime E-mail technical support. To summarize, I am impressed with the HFSTools F2W, and am glad I did not go down the FLIR path again. I highly recommend the F2W. ... show more

  • Big bang for your bucks
Style: F2W
This was an absolutely fantastic buy! The IR camera performs flawlessly—fast response, clear imaging, and accurate readings every time. For this price point, it’s an unbeatable value. The build feels solid, the features work exactly as promised, and it’s been reliable from day one. Honestly, I have zero complaints and would happily recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality IR camera without breaking the bank. ... show more
