I used these inside food pantry, outside Tuff Shed, inside cabinet charging drawer, single plant cabinet, and other places. If the batteries last some time, I think they're a handy thing at a decent price. Seller should consider LED's that are good for plant growth as a sideline.

I use these for a linen closet that has no lights. I've mounted versions of this style light under every shelf. In general they're great and work as well as the other ones I have. I do like how long these are and they're very sensitive. I've had no issue with them falling down or anything (and my kids tend to slam the door to this closet). The only thing I didn't realize is that it doesn't have a specific "night" feature like some of the others have where it has to sense motion AND it has to be dark to activate. These last a long time before they need to be charged, but not quite as long as the other ones that have a night mode option since these trigger during the day too. Not a deal breaker and they still work great. Just a personal preference to conserve as much battery as possible since we have ambient light that enters the closet when you open the door and don't really need extra light during the day. ... show more

I love these lights. They can go anywhere. The home we purchased about 2 years ago has 4 very deep unlit closets. These motion sensing lights are now in all 4 closets. They are so easy to install & the adhesive has yet to fail on the first set we bought for our pantry right after moving in. You just open the door and they come on and when you close the door they turn off. No forgetting to turn the light off before closing the door which I did all the time at our previous house. The battery for the lights in our pantry, which we open and close all day every day, need to be recharged about every 2-3 months. The lights in our storage closet I have only had to charge every 5-6 months. The other 2 closets are identical in amount of use and require charging about every 4 months. Typically they take a few hours to charge up completely when they are dead. I do not keep these on except when I need something from the closet. If you intend on using these for longer periods of time, I would imagine the lights will need to be charged more frequently. I love the sleek design and they are hardly noticeable. If you are using the motion sensing option, I do recommend placing them in a spot where they can easily detect motion. For our closets I have placed them on the wall just inside the closet so that they will detect when I reach into the closet to grab something. This has worked very well for us. Our storage closet is 9 1/2 ft deep and the light is placed on the back wall facing the door and the sensor easily detects every time the door is opened. I also like that the lights are long and flat so they can light up a larger area. I accidentally knocked one off the wall & it fell about 4 feet onto the tile floor. Fortunately, there was no damage to the light casing or the light. The price is great for what you get especially since they last a long time and they don’t need to be hard wired so you can move them around according to your needs/preference.     • Fast installation -- no tools needed! And a remote!

These were installed under the original kitchen cabinets of a house built in the 1960s. Despite the age of the cabinets, these lights were extremely easy to install. It took less than 10 minutes to put up both lights. They require no tools or hardware. Instead, you stick them up with self-adhesive, magnetic tabs. The magnets make this set especially versatile since it's easy to remove the lights from under the cabinets (handy for recharging). And you can walk around with them flashlight style, which is great during power outages, as they are bright enough to light a small room if you leave it in place. The motion sensors are reliable. Walking by them will turn them on, and they are off again when you leave. If you are making coffee on a cold, dark morning, the lights will sense your presence and stay on while you work. If you prefer not to use the motion sensor option, there is a little toggle on each light that lets you switch to steady on (or off) mode. There are also options for different brightness levels. And don't think you have to always reach under the cabinet to flip these switches -- these lights come with a remote control! So far, they've been used for about a week, and the charge is holding. They weren't even fully charged when we put them up. Only time will tell how often we'll have to recharge, but I have high hopes.
