Received and installed mine with few issues. The provided screws could be a tad longer, but wasn't an impossible scenario. Some of the areas of my lid is molded a bit thicker so it required a bit of work to fit on a flat portion near the center. The app installed pretty seamlessly. I was a little surprised that the calibration required a 16% adjustment, but I am glad they have the ability to make such adjustments. The holes were clearly drilled by hand as one was at a slight angle. It shouldn't cause any issues, but its really not that difficult to create a more professional looking product. Get a drill press guys. I am a little concerned with the product's lack of design elements to keep salt from attacking internals and cable. As an an engineer, it would seem to me that having the box mount to the outside by protruding only the sensor through the lid with a threaded cylindrical body would reduce the potential exposure to salt, reduce the number of holes in the lid and the need to pass the cable through the lid. I realize there isn't any splashing around of salt water and such, but I see products made to withstand road salts see corrosion before the products hit the road just being outside in the lots. Surely, its not the same salts either, but this is for my business and I cycle through a lot of salt and would like this to last a long time. ... show more

It’s pretty good, and even though I had to do a very large offset to get it to be correct, it is now correct. It would be 5 stars if it connected to either Alexa or home assistant so I wouldn’t need to use their app (which they use to try to sell you salt and such). I’d much rather just be able to put it up on my dashboard with everything else I monitor. ... show more

    • Finally a product that works and is functional
Pure reason I bought this and like it over other products is they give you a percentage of salt in the tank. I moved into a house a few years ago and had to install a softner. When I bought the softner, the manufacture of my system said they were coming out with a monitor but never did. The installer told me to just add salt once a month, which I was doing. But I wanted a smart monitor. I first put a water sensor in it. When the salt reduced and touched the water line, I would get a message. Then I found pentair, bought it and used it. There were some issues, with it. First with pentair, they only tell you high/medium/low. The issue I was having is due to depth of my tank, 1 bag of 40 lbs of salt would not move the pentair level out of low, not even to medium, so from pentair, I always had low salt. Also, the pentair device only take a measurement once a day at night, you can't go in and get a real time reading. Third, to mount the pentair device, there is a clip, my tank as an wide edge where the cover is. I almost snapped the clip off went mounting pentair. There is actually strain you can see in the plastic clip for pentair. Last but not least, pentair uses batteries, this has an actual constant power source. I found this product and gave it a try Setup was super easy as if you were setting up kasa smart plug or a ring video camera or a leviton smart switch. I did have a question for their tech support. They were quick and super responsive. They had actually added the functionality of what I was looking for in their EZSalt app 2.0. I had started on their 1.0 app version. It gives me all the information I am looking for from a monitoring product for a salt tank ... show more

I just installed this. So far so good. I ran into a small hiccup during install and tech support was super helpful in getting me straightened out. Very friendly and no wait for service. Accuracy is very good and more than adequate. I just need to look at what the reading is next time it’s time for salt and set the alert appropriately. Hopefully it’s as reliable and helpful as I’m expecting. ... show more
