About EZ On The Earth 0.5 Gallon For Lithium Batteries: Designed for Various Battery Types: Our kit is meticulously crafted to properly recycle a range of Rechargeable Lithium-ion and Non-Rechargeable Primary Lithium Batteries. This includes Lithium-Sulfur Dioxide (LiSO2), Lithium Manganese Dioxide (LiMnO2), and Lithium Thionyl Chloride (LiSOCI2). What will be shipped to the Customer: - The cardboard Box that will have the insulated container (pail). - The Insulated Plastic Container (Pail) where the customer will place the batteries. - Electrical Tape and Baggies to Insulate Batteries. - Heavy Plastic Liner. - Zip tie to seal the Plastic Liner. - A pre-paid Return shipping label to ship the Cardboard Box for Recycling the Batteries. - A guide on How to obtain the Certificate of Recycling Online. Stay Mindful of Our Guidelines: - All terminals must be insulated using clear, non-conductive tape that is sent with the container. It's a little smaller internally than expected due to some insulation inside the bucket. Just to clarify, you don't have to tape the ends of typical Duracell - Energizer D.C.AA.AAA alkaline or zinc carbon batteries. You have to tape Lithium-ion battery and button sized watch batteries. There are instruction sheets with pictures so it's easy to tell them apart. This was for work, were I had a fair sized box of batteries waiting that totally filled this bucket. Return shipping instructions are easy to follow. Will be ordering a larger one. This company did all of the work for safety and shipping regulations. It's a lot to read. And it's a lot to figure out if you don't have the professional background to match. I would have rated 5 stars but I feel this is very expensive for the size. Otherwise, everything else seems of good quality. This appears to be the solution I was looking for! Disappointed with my local recycling facility not accepting alkaline batteries I took to the Internet for a solution. I received the item on time and the price was reasonable. Right now my bucket is only 1/3 full so I haven't mailed it back yet with the prepaid Fedex postage. Overall I'm quite happy with the service. My only criticism of the package is that the directions are not very clear at all. I found the directions unorganized and confusing. If they got someone to rewrite the paper directions they would ensure that the batteries were packaged and mailed back correctly. ... show more

When I purchased this recycling box I was pretty excited that I wouldn't be dumping batteries into the landfill anymore. My excitement soon faded. I opened the box and read through the instructions and found there are batteries that cannot be recycled in this container There was supposed to be a bag that you placed int the container but mine did not have it. Recently I decided that I should probably look at the instructions again thinking I needed to make sure what batteries I had placed in the container was ok and if I had missed anything. The instructions state that if you place batteries in the container that are not allowed they will be sent back to you at your cost. This was a little concerning so I sent through to make sure, as best as I could, to remove batteries that didn't qualify. In the end, I think I shouldn't have purchased this product. Too many hoops to jump through. So, I decided to return the container with the batteries I had collected. Their instructions state that I can process the return pickup online. I tried online pickup and was referred to call the 800 number. On the phone with FedEx Ground per the instructions for 45 minutes to schedule a pickup. While this part of the review is tied to FedEx customer service, the instructions did state that you could return online or call. Usually online is much easier and I wouldn't have had to deal with FedEx customer service. I guess in the end it might be easier just to take the container to FedEx yourself and call it good.
