If you have a good pole for it, it is great. So far pretty durable. The shape is a bit cheesy, but doesn't hold it back in any way.

Works well but you certainly get a work out if you are over 60 yrs old. My grand kids love it and it does pack the leaves into the bag so we were able to cut number of bags we had to use in half.

I found this stomper be very helpful when pushing the leaves down in the bag. The best part was I did not have to bend over.

The dowel rod I bought didn't slip all the way down, but the leaf stomper works fine nonetheless.

I have not used this much yet, but it seems awesome and very well built. although it is fun looking it is very sturdy. Bagging leaves is a pain. With this I hope to really "stomp" down as many as possible into each bag and cut down on how many bags i have to use and drag around. Will update as I use it more...

I live in an well established neighborhood loaded with large trees in a suburb of a major metropolitan city in the Midwest and wage a yearly battle every fall with leaves. Since purchasing my home I've gained a lot of valuable experience on just how to cram as many leaves as humanly possible into 30-gallon yard waste bags that I purchase from my local municipality. So I'm constantly on the lookout for new gadgets and tips for reducing the amount of time I spend in my yard picking up leaves. Enter the EZ Lawn and Garden Leaf Stomper. -------------------- USE: The EZ Lawn Stomper is really just a plastic tamper in the shape of a large orange foot. This product does not come with a handle and is instead intended to be used with a broom handle or equivalently sized pole. I used a broom handle from a push-broom that I had in my garage. The EZ Stomper has a spring-loaded foot release that retracts a rubberized grip. You insert the broom handle and release the pedal and you've got yourself a leaf stomper. This product alone probably won't have a significant impact on the amount of yard waste you can fit into a bag if you're already tamping the contents down. Which is something I was already doing. However, I found this product useful for a couple reasons. First, instead of just using my hands to sort of shove the leaves and yard waste further down into the bag I simply using the tamper. The added bonus is that I'm no longer sticking my face directly into the yard waste bag. That's huge for an allergy sufferer like myself. Second, using a tamper like the EZ Stomper instead of constantly bending down to hand-tamp the yard waste is a back saver. My leaf-eradication procedure is to first mulch the leaves with my mower, then a second pass with the bag attachment on the mower. I use an expandable plastic ring called the Rumford Gardener Paper Bag Helper (purchased here on Amazon) to hold the yard waste bags open and then dump the mulched contents into the bags. Finally I tamp contents of the waste bag and repeat until full. -------------------- WHAT I LIKE: (+) Easy to use; setup is extremely simple as is storage of this product (+) Keeps me from hand-tamping yard waste - a back saver and helps reduce my exposure to allergens (+) It's plastic but seems well-built and heavy duty -------------------- WHAT I DON'T LIKE: (-) The price. Considering this product doesn't come with a handle you're essentially paying $20 for a large plastic foot. -------------------- CONCLUSION: The EZ Stomper just works and has found a permanent spot in my garage for my yearly leaf-battling ritual. Recommended!
