I live in a little 1950s house with a kitty that tracks litter everywhere! I got tired of lugging out the vacuum to pick up the litter bits and cat hair and wanted an old fashioned, lightweight manual sweeper— no cords, batteries, or waiting to charge— just grab and go! This little sweeper does a great job! It’s also got adorable 50s styling that looks nice enough that if I leave it out, it just blends in with the vintage style of the house. These manual sweepers are almost impossible to find in stores now, which is a shame. They are easier to use than heavy vacuums for small jobs. I am so glad I found this one for under $30! It’s not full size, but mini like the title says. It’s about the size of a large hardback novel (I took a pic with my hand for scale). It would take a long time to do a large room with it, so don’t expect it to fully replace your vacuum. However, it picks up hair and litter so well and I love the top dirt dump lever rather than the push bottoms other sweepers have. Downsides: the top handle where you hold it is loosey-goosey. It doesn’t fall off, just swivels easily (which it’s designed to do, I think, but it sometimes awkwardly swivels when you try to push it forward). Also, you will have to use your hands to get longer hair out of the brush, just be warned (my vacuum is the same way, though, since I have long hair and shed as much as my cat it seems!). Overall, it is affordable, cute, functional, and perfect for a small house like mine or maybe a camper or classroom! Would buy again. ... show more

I love this little mini carpet sweeper! I have a thin kitchen rug that covers most of the space and can go in the washing machine, but because it’s so thin, my regular vacuum just sucks it up. I didn’t want to buy a plug-in stick vac—just something to quickly sweep up crumbs or small messes on the carpet—and this sweeper does the job perfectly. It’s too small for large rooms, but for the kitchen, a hallway, or a bathroom, it’s ideal. I did take off one star because the handle doesn’t lock in place; it just pushes on and feels loose. It would come off, but I fixed it with a bit of liquid gasket maker. Now it still turns slightly, but it stays put. Another great feature is how easy it is to empty—just pull up on the decorative lever on top, and it opens right up, dumping everything into the trash without you having to touch or shake anything. Plus, the retro look and mint green color are beautiful and look perfect in my kitchen. All in all, it’s a great little sweeper I’d definitely recommend. ... show more

I have a very large rug in my living room with very low pile. It’s machine washable so it’s very lightweight. Because of that it gets sucked up into the vacuum, so I needed another option for cleaning it regularly when I clean the wood flooring. This was only $17 and had decent reviews so I figured I’d give it a try. It does nothing at all for pet hair and the little bristles are shedding (that may calm down after a few uses, I suspect) but it picks up larger pieces of things.
