  • Size was impressive
Size was impressive. Son put together but added wood glue and weatherproofing. Very satisfied with purchase, put in a 10x13 coop. My son and I am amateurs at raising chickens and am afraid they are all a bit spoiled.

  • Chicken Coop
This was good to put together with two people. A few of the chipped pieces are off of the roof and a little damaged. But not enough for me to put it back in the box and return it. I just painted them. I did get this for six chickens and it seems it will fit them. They are still little and in the house. Weather proof not sure I did put some poly on it. Happy with it so far will update once the little ones are in it. ... show more

  • Very poor quality
I bought this chicken cop because I am a first time chicken owner and thought buying a kit would be a good way to go since I only got a few chicks. The material is VERY flimsy and cheap. The “windows” are clear plastic tarp material and all warped. Tons of gaps on the edges around doors, trays and in the bottom of the nesting box. It was so bad I had to reinforce the doors and nesting boxes while building. It will require several more modifications to be draft free for winter and secure from predators. I am not certain that it will be water tight either as it sits because the widows are not sealed and there are gaps. The hardware cloth run is also SUPER flimsy and only held on with staples. Completely unsafe as it is for chickens. Without additional “real” wood to firm it up it will definitely not be able to moved once it’s in its place. If you need a safe, secure, warm and dry coop, don’t get this one unless you plan on spending a lot of time reinforcing it. For the price I would have expected far better quality. I followed the directions step by step as well so it’s not user error. One “good” thing is that it was fairly easy to put it together but be sure you have some common sense and experience with putting things together with very little instruction as there were only pictures and they needed to be interpreted. ... show more

  • Okay for now.
I bought this for my 6 chickens. Size is great for them. The quality of the product is poor, cheap wood, the drawers that pull out for cleaning do not match up correctly when they are in and then the drawers to not match up well with the latches on the outside. I have only pulled them out 2x for cleaning and a piece of the wood has already broke off. We had to restaple the wire to the wood on the doors immediately. It is good for now but will definitely need work. ... show more

  • Perfect starter coop with some adjustments.
I painted mine white using chalk paint, before it was assembled. My husband built a frame to set the coop on to give additional room to the run underneath. We added shutters to the western side (old plastic) which I also painted white to shield them from the hot afternoon setting sun. They still get the breeze thru the shutters. We have a smaller coop to use for nursery or hospital as needed. We placed hinges on the top sections of the run so I can have access to clean, otherwise you’d have to crawl thru the end door.🙃We plan to add additional run to this set up. We have 5 hens and there’s room for 5 more easily. Not sure how this will hold up long term, but this is perfect for now. I think if this were inside a larger area with roof over it, it would survive the elements better. I do put a heavy plastic drop cloth over the whole thing if there’s going to be a storm or days of heavy rain. For a starter chicken coop this is perfect. ... show more

  • Easy Assembly
The media could not be loaded. I really love this thing, overall. The assembly was a cinch, and my chick's, as you can see in the video, are very happy with their new home. The only downfall is that ita a leaky vessel. I dont think it will keep critteres out so I've ordered a 25x9x6 foot chicken run to go over it. I purposely did the video mid morning so you can see the heat light through the cracks. But my chicks aren't complaining! Great product!! ... show more

  • Very flimsy
Although this coop is adorable we had damaged wood and even ordered two and both of them the wood was very cheap and flimsy. Constantly cracking and super soft wood. The run is also not the best we had to do a lot of reinforcement to make it stable and safe. The doors all stick we added handles to help open them. The slide out trays are great but again flimsy. Works for now but not sure how long it will last. We used parts from the second coop to modify and use the run from it to extend the run to give more room. ( Pic does not show modifications, didn't have one on my phone) I would not pay $699+tax for this again. I wouldn't have ordered two if I put the first one together first. ... show more

  • Less than a year and needs constant repairs and rebuilding…
Unfortunately, this is a costly chicken coop and not worth the price tag. There are large gaps at the drawers, doors, etc… the wind and cold air go right through. The nesting boxes are basically falling off at this point and need to be rebuilt. They were never actually separated as the dividers are so thin and flimsy and don’t stay suited in the slots. The outdoor decorative trim pieces have fallen off in multiple spots. The drawers do not stay intact at all. The metal bottoms have bent and completely disconnected from the frame. Every time we clean out the coop- which is weekly, the drawers need to be completely rebuilt. The wood is so cheap and brittle that it has basically crumbled as we try to fix it. Putting the coop together was easy- but the wood is so fragile it nearly breaks under its own weight. Don’t waste your money. ... show more
