  • Just Installed. WIll come back if anything changes
Style: Ultimate Protection Heavy Metal + Antiscale
Did a lot of research and kept coming back to this system. I got the Ultimate Protection system. I'm on a well and noticed large amounts of sediment in my toilets, stains in toilet bowl, and stains/smell prior to the system. I just got it installed and will update the progress. A few suggestions......if connecting a spin down sediment filter go heavy on the teflon tape. My first time I probably only wrapped 2-3 times and had small leaks when I turned on the water. After re-wrapping 15 times each side it's dry as a bone. Same goes for the 1 inch female threads on the inlet and outlet. Be sure to wrap your male threads 20x (per instructions) and tighten it up good. I used shark bites and some pex clamps. So far no leaks. I'm hoping this fixes my sediment problem. If it also gives me slightly less hard water it'll be a win win. ... show more

  • Better than I expected.
Style: Ultimate Protection Heavy Metal + Antiscale
Our new rehab house as a well and our area has not so great water. A lot of natural minerals in the grown. (Oil, Gas, coal etc.) So, in search of a filter system that is not so expensive but yet works great. I found this one and after research after research. I kept coming back to this one. We took a chance, and it has paid off. Our water test came out so well. The lab couldn't believe it. We have had to replace the filters a few times already but our well hadn't been used in a few years. So, as we have used it more and more. It's getting better and we haven't had to replace filters so much. When we did replace filters the last filter was always still pretty clean. So happy we went with the 3 filter systems over just one filter. Having the pressure gauges on top has also helped monitor our water pressure. We have a pressure tank that is before the filters, and we don't lose any pressure even after the filters. Thank you ... show more

  • Canister Sprung a Leak After 3 Years and Flooded the Garage
Style: Heavy Metal
We have the Heavy Metals system and it has removed undesirable taste from the city water, although we haven't sent any water in for a scientific analysis. The overall system is very well designed, except for one issue that can lead to serious property damage. Every time I read the pressure gauges they indicate 60 psi - I've never seen an exception. The other night (of course), the middle canister sprung a leak at the bottom, resulting in a flooded garage. Express Water claims that there must be spikes in our water supply pressure at off hours, like Midnight, and that caused the issue and they recommend having a plumber install a pressure regulator on the home water supply (no cheap project). They also invited me to purchase replacement canisters for $80 each. So to get this system up and running with any sense of confidence that there won't be another leak in a few years it will cost $750 - $1000. If you have one of these systems installed at your home and you don't have a regulator on the city water supply, you may be at risk of water damage down the road. Express Water recommends checking your water pressure at various times of the day and night to see if you can notice any pressure spikes. Or have a plumber install a regulator. Update 9/2/23 I have purchased new canisters through Customer Service. I had purchased new filters a couple weeks before this failure, and I want to give Express Water kudos for replacing the filters and providing free and quick shipping on the replacement canisters. I still recommend that if you are on a city water system, have a plumber install a pressure regulator at the water line entering your home. ... show more

  • Works Surprisingly well
Style: Ultimate Protection Heavy Metal + Antiscale
I installed this PHO anti scale water filter two weeks ago and man what a difference. We are located in central Texas where everyone has hard water. We are on city water, so I dont know how it would work with a well. The water taste way better, it doesn't leave near as much white scale on everything and what little is left behind is easily wiped off. The unit is bigger than I expected, so I hung it on a wall to save floor space. I would definitely recommend this water filter. ... show more

  • GOOD CLEAN DRINING WATER THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE
Style: Heavy Metal
When I lived in a rural environment I had well water and septic. It was not big deal to have a reverse osmosis water filter. I didn’t have to worry about paying for the 3 to 4 wasted gallons to get 1 good gallon of drinking water. Where I live now, I am on city water and sewer. It doesn’t make sense to pay for all that wasted water. I needed another solution and opted for a whole house filtration system. The Express system fits the bill nicely. My unit was installed professionally by a plumber. It has been in service for several weeks now. The difference in the taste and the feel of my water is remarkable. The city water was so high in chlorine one could smell and taste it. I joked about chlorinating myself in the shower. Now the smell and taste of chlorine is gone as well as other common contaminants. And I’m getting great drinking water from every spigot in the house. No more going to the single outlet in the kitchen. I teamed my Express filter system with a whole house UV water filter. This is as close to reverse osmosis as I can get without all the wasted water. I can highly recommend this unit for whole house filtration. There is only ONE DRAWBACK I came across recently. My wife and I went to an upscale restaurant. The food was superb. The water was terrible. It smelled and tasted like chlorine. I couldn’t drink it. It tasted like they pumped the water from a swimming pool. Yuk! I have gotten so used to fresh filtered water at home. Now it is hard to settle for anything less. ... show more

  • Express Water
Style: Heavy Metal
So, I can't stand giving a review until I've actually used a product and in this case I had to wait 8 months. As you can see, I've just changed the filters and the system works great. We have a well and it has always had heavy mineralized water which ate our copper lines as well as the hot water heater. After installation the water taste was miles better and you can definitely see what is being filtered. The only beef I have would be the at the filter change it states to use silicone grease and lubricant one the seals and threads but doesn't give you a manufacturer preference. But, it's what we needed and it works. ... show more
