I live in an area of very hot summers, which render rubber and plastic hoses unmanageable and brittle after a season or two. I decided to try this 12 foot metal version before, possibly, purchasing a longer replacement for all of my other garden hoses. I think it goes without saying that its durability or flexibility, are not likely to be much affected by the heat, or the cold for that matter. I’ve employed this hose at various distances from the spigot, and it is very easy to wrangle into different spray angles. I can’t say for sure that a much longer version will be as easy, but I suspect that, due to its segmented construction, it will be just as flexible at either end and along the middle. The only knock I have against this hose (and it’s not negative enough to deduct a star) is that the connecting ferrule is a knurled ring, rather than a hexagonal one (see picture). This is a concern for me, as the hard water from my well tends to calcify and, thus, makes it difficult to loosen fittings after a while. A hexagonal ferrule affords greater leverage to the required pliers with less risk of crush distortion to the fitting.

This is the first time I used this type of hose and I will admit, it works pretty well. It has a good heft, but not too heavy. It also doesn't kink, which is a huge bonus. I may have to buy more.

Great quality!! I had 6 different junk hoses hooked up to reach all over my farm. Then I found these! I’ve bought a few now to connect as I can never get my hands on the super lengthy ones. I wish this was the only type of hose out there! You can’t go wrong with it! It’s doesn’t tangle up and it’s been through a lot of crazy Ohio weather and still looks brand new like I just opened it. Works great and everyone should have this hose!! Highly highly recommend!!

I got several of these small hoses to connect all of my raised beds so that they can all be watered at the same time. These hoses have really simplified my gardening, which has been great. They are sturdy and do not leak. I really like the little soft plastic part that helps you tighten the hose.

I like this little hose. I live in the desert SW of Arizona. The Sun and the dry air just eats rubber and plastic hoses alive. I've gone through a lot of them over the years. This thing is metal, and should last a long time. I have mine attached to the spigot of the water harvesting tank in my back yard. It only needs to be long enough to fill watering cans, so the 6-foot length was fine. But be sure to measure your distances before buying one. 6 feet might sound like it's long, but in a backyard setting it doesn't stretch very far. Overall, I am quite pleased with this. Bob recommends.

This is a very nice durable and flexible hose. The stainless steel outing will avoid abrasions and cuts so it should be able to be used in work areas that may cause other hoses issues.
