I bring my hoses into the shed in winter when they're not needed anyway, but what typically destroys rubber hoses is the summer sun making the rubber brittle. Having a steel exterior will prevent that problem, which is a big plus. This hose is light and kink resistant, but also has a significantly smaller inner radius than most. This means less volume but more pressure, which for some people may be an advantage. Personally I would prefer the larger inner diameter. They claim this will not rust or corrode, but only time will tell. I've seen stainless steel rust when left outside in the rain, but there are many variations of stainless steel alloys so perhaps this one will not.

This is a nice hose. It's my first stainless steel one and so far I like it. Aside from being more attractive than the standard rubber or vinyl varieties, the main difference I've noticed is that it behaves better when stretched out because it doesn't retain the coiled up shape that other hoses do, especially in cold weather, and it doesn't kink. That being said, you still have to give it the right amount of twist when rolling it up or it will twist up on itself giving you a tangled pretzel instead of a neat coil. As others have mentioned, this hose seems to be of smaller diameter than the standard 5/8 inch hose and because the metal walls won't expand, the water flow will be lower. I use this as a light duty hose for my deck area where 25 ft is sufficient. I wouldn't use this to replace the 125 ft of rubber hose I use in my driveway or back yard set ups. I suppose it will be a lot more durable than standard hoses. It should definitely be a lot more resistant to punctures because of its metal construction, but the flip side to that is that it won't spring back from being crushed like a rubber or vinyl hose would. It seems to be of small enough diameter so that a car running over it wouldn't necessarily flatten it, but I wouldn't want to test this out. The couplings seem to be of sturdy metal construction, but one problem I have is that on the male end, there's only a very thin area of the coupling to grab onto when attaching or removing a nozzle. You have to grab the plastic hose guard instead which loosens more easily than the nozzle. So you have to use slip-joint pliers every time you remove a nozzle.

This hose and sprayer work as advertised. They are a little cheap but work well and haven't broke yet and I've had for about 5 months or so. Would recommend.

This is a pretty awesome hose! It’s super lightweight, winds up no problem and then will go straight easily. So much better than fighting to wind up traditional hoses. The only downside I experienced is the diameter is smaller than normal hoses so water flow isn’t great. I also don’t think it will hold up to getting run over by a car but that’s just speculation. Overall a good quality item.

I really love metal hoses. They’re lighter than good quality rubber hoses, they don’t kink, they won’t cut, and more. Just about anything you want to say to the positive about this hose you can say and be accurate. The connectors are brass and are backed up by a sturdy plastic guard to protect the hose at its weakest points – the ends of the hose. This hose comes with several extra washers and Teflon tape to help prevent leakage. I haven’t used it much, but it doesn’t leak at all. It’s so easy to pull over the grass. The metal hose is very flexible and it’s easy to coil up and hang away. I do disagree that this is the last hose I’ll ever need (or words to that effect on the box). This hose is only 25 feet long, and I need more! I can recommend this hose without reservation.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice a stainless-steel hose actually is. It turned out to be a great idea. First of all, I am amazed by how flexible the hose is. It is very easy to coil up and uncoil too. Then, after being coiled for a long time, you would never know it. It immediately stretches out straight and it stays straight. There is no memory at all. It slides so smoothly, this hose won’t knot up. The overall construction is solid, and the end connectors are strong. Also, with the stainless-steel construction, it sure stands up to the weather and the sun. There are two small downsides that I have noticed. You can crush it by driving over it, etc., but even though the flow gets restricted, it still doesn’t lead. The other is that the inside diameter of the hose is smaller, so the volume of water it moves is less. Overall, this hose is a great option.

This is like a really long shower head hose. It works well, with the main advantage for me being that it maintains its shape and does not kink like a rubber hose. Only disadvantage so far for me is that I live in Las Vegas where it gets rather hot in the summer, and this metal hose can get real hot real quick in the sun. I store it in a shaded area, but when I use it, it's going to be in the sun some of the time. I always have garden gloves nearby though, so easy enough to manage. Overall, I really like this hose. Its quick and easy to get on and off my hose reel, which is important to me since I use mine a lot and don't like fighting it to avoid kinks.
