I know that’s a strange title to open a review but, if you buy this chair, you will be very glad to know that information up front. My comments are in two sections: (1) the chair itself; and (2) assembly. My husband thinks the chair is supremely comfortable and really loves it. It’s in his office and he spends hours sitting in it. The casters move smoothly across the rug and the arm rests are thick and plush. He mentions how comfortable it is a couple of times a week and that is unusual, so he must really like it. I agree that the chair is very comfortable but I haven’t spent hours in it so I’m going along with him here. Functionality is basic: there are three height levels and you can adjust the tilt tension wheel to a level of support that you prefer. The tilt lockout lets the chair tilt back which I assume is “rocking mode”. Regarding assembly, we have assembled a lot of flat-pack furniture over the last 10 years. For this chair, I actually waited to write the review for a few weeks after assembly. And although the experience is now behind me, I’m still rating it down one star for the challenges. I do think the chair was designed to be assembled with a minimum number of parts so clearly some thought went into it. There is a manual which also has a QR code you can click to watch a video of the assembly though these will still not save you from the pain of actually doing it. You’ll be fine through the steps up to and including attaching the arms. Then you get to wrestle with attaching the back of the chair. The way the instructions say to do it did not work for us. You’re supposed to lay the back down facing the front of the seat, input two bolts, and then pivot the back to an upright position. A photo is attached to help explain this. Except that when you go to pivot the back into place, the tilt tension wheel, which is attached to the right edge of the back, cannot get past the arm rests. This is not shown in the manual or the video. We wound up with one person holding the back upright and the other trying to align holes and screw in the bolts. Aligning any of the bolts with the corresponding hole in the chair is not easy. There is no grommet around the hole, just a ragged edge of fabric that makes it impossible to see the alignment. You will also turn each bolt forever before they “catch”. Just keep turning … it will happen eventually. Finally, even though the issue with the bolts was our own fault, I’m going to tell you about it so you can benefit from our mistake. There are 12 bolts: ten are 30 mm and two are 20 mm. The two 20 mm bolts go into the back of the seat plate and I missed that. So when we got to the last two bolt holes to attach the back, we only had the two 20mm bolts left. These will NEVER attach the back because they aren’t long enough. Fortunately it wasn’t a terrible mistake because it was easy enough to remove the two 30 mm bolts from the seat plate and swap them giving us a fighting chance of getting the last two bolts connected to the back of the chair in our lifetime. Why not just have twelve 30mm bolts? There is no earthly apparent reason why two bolts had to be 10mm shorter than the other bolts. It may sound like I don’t like this chair. I do like it; I’m just glad I only had to assemble it once.

This chair was easy to assemble. It is wife enough i can cross my legs (i dont sit still very well haha) and is super comfy. It is definitely worth every penny. It does have a recline feature and has adjustable height.

Finding a good office chair that lasts has been a game of trial & error. Most of them can't handle my husband's size/weight. While we haven't had this chair for long & it took a bit of help for me to get it together; my husband likes it. I have a more expensive chair at my desk that isn't half as comfortable as this one. Plus, it adjusts for his tastes. I suspect, he'll get a lot of good years out of this one. He's happy with his birthday gift, so I'm happy. I'd definintely buy this again over any of the others we have in our house. It really is good bang for the buck. Glad I found it!
