I had to order this chair cause.. well.. wide hips are a pain. The seat is a full 22" across and it holds up to my 240lb weight in it for 8+ hrs a day. The footrest could be longer but I usually crouch like a goblin anyway so it works fine for that. I regularly push against the foot rest and haven't managed to bend or injure it at all. If I had my 'druthers, I'd request a stronger spring for the back. I lock it in place but if it's unlocked, you can't lean against it and expect any resistance at all. That said, reclined, I could comfortably sleep in this chair so it might be a good thing that I have to lock it up. I've had no issues with it. I probably do need to tighten the arms soon but I sit cross legged alot and push against them so that's to be expected. It was easy to put together, I like the back bracket design.

I searched stores and online catalogs and finally settled on this chair. After a week being used, it's still perfect. It was easy to assemble and fits perfectly. It is not overly bulky, the wheels/base are easy to maneuver over carpet and roll along a hard floor. This may not be the best chair for those short in stature, I am 5'3" and my heels do not touch the floor even with the chair all the way lowered. The foot rest is amazing and such a great added bonus. The reclining function is held in place with a lever set to your exact reclining angle, there are no surprises if you lean back. No funky smells from the chair, squeaking, or missing parts, and arrived in excellent condition. The seat is wide enough for a heavier set person to still feel comfortable.

The good: Good chair for the money. Adjustable reclining back, very nice. Also can lock the back into whatever angle works for you. Pretty solid base, wheels roll well. Easy to assemble. The bad: Arms are a little loose, even after tightening the bolts every day for a week or 2. Bolts are tight, arm rests still wiggle. Chair smells like cheap leather or something - it’s been almost a month and the smell is still detectable, but maybe getting better. I bought a cloth cover, also bought covers for the armrests. Makes it’s a little comfier.

more expensive ones, but be better of course, but for the price it is very good, solid, firm, easy to assemble, foot rest is great, but not sure how shorter people would like it because at 6' tall, and at the lowest level my feet just barely touch the floor but works fine for me.

Wow! I love it. I’m 5’2, 130lbs. Very comfortable and supportive for me. What I loved right away was how easy it was to assemble. It took me 10 minutes and was ready to go. I love the foot rest and reclining features. It’s perfect for work and I can easily kick back and relax in it. I can set my laptop on my lap and lean back and get work done, but I can also sit up straight for those times I need to be more focused. I work from home full time and my hours can be All over the place. I also get to choose my free time a little so a power nap in between assignments is nice to squeeze in. Overall, this chair is one of my favorite things I have ever purchased on Amazon. I highly recommend. If you are taller that 6ft, it may be a bit short for you. However, it is perfect for me and could accommodate someone taller as well. I’m not as certain about weight, but it does seem sturdy for me and can imagine it holds well for the average person.

I'm 6 feet 4 inches tall and weigh between 240 and 250 pounds, and this chair supports me well. The footrest may not be something I use too often, as I feel it's too short for me. It's possible I get around to using it though. It wasn't a selling point for me regardless. The seat felt hard as I was building it, almost like a hard metal plate without much cushion between your butt and the metal. Once the chair was completely built, I sat in it and had no comfort issues with my lower back or tailbone. The armrests are wobbly which doesn't bother me and it feels like it's done by design rather than an issue with building it. Also had to use the PDF included on the item's page because instructions were NOT included, which is why I had to take a star away on "easy to assemble." A lot of the reviews discuss missing screws and other forgotten items, which is unfortunate. Those easy to fix issues prevent this chair from probably receiving a higher rating. I have only sat in this chair for a couple hours as well, which will probably be about the normal time for my use of it. With that being said, I can't speak on the comfort lasting for extended hours of use at a job or in the office. I would assume the chair is still comfortable in those circumstances.

The chair is nice but UPS sent it to the USPS for delivery and it was to big so we had to find some one to help us pick it up. We are seniors so UPS needed to deliver it. We did finally get it.

Assembly was pretty easy, I did have to Guage out a piece of a holes for a one of the screws. Once I got it cleared the rest assembled easily. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my spouse who is a senior manager for a company. They love it and find it very comfortable and adjusts easily. They really enjoy having the foot rest
