I was somewhat hesitant after noticing all the reviews were from accounts that had received free products. However, I am blown away by the quality and design of this wood chipper. I had the chipper unpacked and assembled within 30 minutes. The parts were sturdier and more solid than I anticipated. The internal cutting blades are thick, solid and made of quality metal. I will be able to hone and resharpen these blades repeatedly for a long life, and then I also received a pair of backup blades as a bonus when they become needed. The curved leg design is constructed of strong steel and is considerably more balanced and steady than I anticipated. The internal parts are well machined or molded and fit well together. The first day I ran the machine for over 30 minutes which derived probably 7 full bags of mulch that I was able to spread. The catch bag is convenient and simple to use. I was grinding various sized limbs from recent tree pruning, which ranged from twig size up to 1.5 inches. The machine handled it all easily. I would agree with a prior reviewer and stress that it is important not to overwhelm the motor. You can easily hear the change in tone as it works harder. Feeding slowly and evenly and not trying to cram too much down the chute at once will prolong the life of the machine and help you avoid jams. I would feed consistently and then pause briefly to allow the motor to rev back up. It can be slow and tedious, but way better than having to bag all the refuse up, and now I can reuse in garden. I would also recommend after usage to open up the housing and clean it out before putting it away. Just normal buildup of leaf and chips within the machine that could cause problems if left in there after each use. A bit of material wound around the retaining bolt that I also removed. Overall I am highly impressed with the convenience and effectiveness of this product after just 2 days of operation.

Good value! Good quality! Extra blade! Not too heavy or bulky! Perfect size! Stick to recommended size of branches and it does a great job! Very fast and adjustable for size of chips! Fine chips perfect for the garden! Good investment for gardeners!

It worked as expected. I used it to clear a mountain of crepe myrtle branches I just pruned. It ran practically non-stop for about 3 hrs and handled it like a champ. Instructions are clear on putting it together and running it. It comes with spare blades, which i thought was great. The only negative thing I would say about it is I would not put too much faith in that "1.77" thickness" claim. It will cut it, but it strains the machine and tends to want to jam up. I learned to keep it around 1"-1.25" branches. Still worth every penny to me.

I read a lot of reviews, did a lot of research and I’m so glad I went with this one. Downfall is opening is small compared to a gas one but it’s perfect for what I need. I ran this machine for 10 hours and didn’t have one issue. Light weight, compact. Would buy again.

The media could not be loaded. I am so impressed with this wood chipper! Definitely the best investment I've made in a while and I wish I would have bought it sooner! Easy to assemble, sturdy, and chips with ease. So far, I've chipped freshly cut bamboo, and tree limbs and bamboo that were cut about a year ago. It did all of them with ease! I would say the results are comparable to a larger, more expensive gas-powered chipper. Like most any chipper, it will not shred leaves. The bamboo leaves did get a little clogged and needed some assistance to go through, but that was pretty easy with the provided paddle.

It's quite than I expected for how well it works. I haven't put it through it's paces yet but the first impressions are positive. Great value for the cost and I appreciate that it comes with replacement blades. Also they fixed the design flaw in previous versions I've used that make replacing the blades very difficult.

Very powerful for its size and price. It really can handle almost 2" branches if you go slowly and give it a second to spin back up to speed. Hard to argue for the price and ease of use. That being said, the included blades dull *very* quickly on modest loads of sticks and leaves. A mixture of oak and pine. The installed set of blades were useless in about 1.5 hrs, on *both* sides. But my biggest gripe is that even though it is advertised as being able to mulch leaves... there's no usable chute! You have to remove the black plastic top (which acts as a safety!) and insert leaves the old fashioned way, VERY close to the blades. It's not safe. I made something out of cardboard and now it works ok for leaves. But if you do manage to get in some leaves, it shreds them no problem whatsoever.

This shredder is a little beast. I cussed a little putting the wheels on, but finally triumphed. It seems sturdy and has good small branch capacity. It chews 'em up and spits' em out. I appreciate that it comes with replacement blades as well.
