Worked better than I expected. Sure, it took 5 minutes to get the oil out, but I don't have to go under the car. Very easy to setup. Not sure about other, but with just 5 or 6 manual pumps (Hint, open the oil cap for easy and faster flow), the oils start flowing out and fill the canister without much intervention. Oh, and no messed at all. I also try using the compressor and that the oil flows a little faster. It is already paid for itself on the first oil change. Very easy to empty the used oil from the canister. The canister is a very sturdy.

Great shipping and nice package. The EWK 6.5L Pneumatic/Manual Oil Extractor worked very good. First time I have ever used an oil extractor on a vehicle for a oil change. I started my engine and let it idle for about 5 minutes and then turned it off. The old oil 5W-20 wasn't hot not even very warm when I finished the oil change, the outside temp was 44 degrees F. Per instructions, I attached the main tube to the canister first. Remove the plastic inlet plug cap for the main tube. Notice the main tube connector cap has two little L shape clips to lock on to the canister inlet opening, they have to be lined up then twist to lock on for sealing closed. This has nothing to do with the air hose connector, I didn't use that feature. Remove oil dipstick from vehicle and check which hose extension will fit inside dipstick tube on vehicle. Connect that extension tube to the Main tube which is connected to the canister. Insert tube down dipstick hole until it reaches the bottom of vehicle oil pan. Manual Pump mode, make sure air hose connector valve is closed since this is not using an air compressor setup. Raise pump handle and pump like a bicycle tire pump. After a few pumps oil should start flowing up the extension tube and into the pump canister. Pump several times and old engine oil will start filling the canister. Pump several times more until all the old engine oil is pumped out of vehicle, you should hear it sucking air when all the oil had been pumped out, plus you will see air bubbles in extraction hose instead of hose full of oil. This worked good, no need to pump hard just nice and easy.

The pneumatic option makes the job fast and effortless if you have an air compressor, while the manual pump works well when you don’t. Clean and mess-free: This is probably the biggest advantage—no crawling under the car or dealing with drain plugs. It keeps everything neat and contained. Good capacity: The 6.5L tank is enough for most standard oil changes, so you don’t have to stop midway. Easy to use: Setup is straightforward, and the included tubes fit well into dipstick tubes on most vehicles. Things to consider: Manual pumping takes effort: It works, but it’s definitely slower compared to using compressed air. Tube flexibility: The hoses could be a bit more rigid—sometimes they require adjusting to stay in place. Best for compatible vehicles: Works great on cars designed for top-side oil extraction, but not ideal for every engine setup. Overall: A great investment for DIY maintenance. It saves time, reduces mess, and makes oil changes way more convenient—especially if you use the pneumatic feature. Not perfect, but definitely worth it for the price.

EWK 10.5L Pneumatic/Manual Oil Extractor Pump for Oil Change, Fluid Extractor works great on my Toyota 4Runner. Rufus said it works on Ford engines, it does NOT work on my 2018 Ford F150, 5.0 engine. My 5.0 engine dipstick tube has a sharp bend and the plastic tube will not go into the dipstick tube. You would not want to force the plastic tube and get it stuck. The tank I received is very well made and It would be impossible for this tank to collapse as some reviews have stated. I will be keeping this item.

5 stars for the win. Connected to an air compressor the unit works great. I did change the connector to fit my fittings. Did a transmission fluid change in a 4L60e. Changed differential fluid on my Jeep TJ to the last drops that get stuck behind the pinion gear. Power steering changes are a breeze. Saved time and the mess of changing the oil in my Lawnboy mower. Quick, Easy and clean. This is the one you want.

I purchased this oil extractor to replace an old extractor (different brand), I liked that this tank was large and would hold more fluid. I received this oil extractor a few days ago 03/26, I operate a mobile lawn mower service, and started using it on 03/30, it worked great at first and used it a couple of times the first day, then about 3 times the second day. At my last stop today after I had drained the engine oil from the riding mower I was servicing. I was going to put the extractor away and had left the pump handle up about 6 inches. When I pushed the pump handle down oil shot out each side of the pump handle, spraying oil all over the equipment, driveway and myself. The tank is only about 1/3 full so it can't be from being overfull, I don't have any idea how oil got into the pump. It's useless now, I don't even know how I could ship it back now that it's had used engine oil in it. Expensive JUNK!
