  • Need to punch pin in hard
I was happy with the ease of getting a report. However, they only give you two sterile things to punch holes in yourself with. You need to be ready to do it, and you need to punch hard or you won't bleed easy enough if you're like me!

  • See photo for the results
This photo shows exactly the results I received in the app. Interestingly, the range they use to determine optimal Vitamin D levels conflicts with other reputable online sources. I’m still not sure which scale to believe…. But at least I now know what my level is, and can take action based on the Vitamin D optimal level scale I choose to believe. ... show more

  • This retired nurse loves your products.
Wonderful to have this service. I just ordered to more kits to test my families vitamin D levels.

  • More convenient —but takes a long time for results
Overall I did like this test and would do it again. However, it did take a lot longer than I expected. It took five days for the lab to even announce they had received the package and then several more days to get the result. Also, I was surprised that there were three lancets in the kit and that is for a reason! It’s very hard to fill up all five of the circles on the card with blood! I blew one of the lancets because I was scared to do it and decided if I saw one deploy I would know what to expect. The needle is very fine and it does not drive to the bone like you imagine it will. (I can have someone else draw my blood okay—but doing it myself was different!) My recommendation is do it on a lunch break or after work. Not first thing in the morning when you’re still waking up. This lab was more expensive than the cash price at my local hospital but they still required a doctors order. So overall this lab was cheaper unless I tacked it onto a doctor appointment for something else. My vitamin D level was low. Overall pleased and seriously considering the food sensitivity test. I am suspicious about several types of food and just feel better knowing there is actual science behind it! It’s not just in my head! ... show more

  • Takes a long time to get results.
Easy to take the test and got results. But results took 10 days to come back

  • Easy and convenient
I love using everlywell to check anything I need to, at home! Instead of getting a huge amount of blood drawn at the lab, all u need is a few drops of blood for this test. Whenever I'm trying to raise my vitamin d levels this really helps to know where I'm at! Just make sure to drink water to get your blood flowing and warm your hands in warm water for 30 seconds. You shouldn't have a problem with getting enough blood to fill the sample. Have been using these at home tests for about a year, and it's very convenient! ... show more

  • Couldn't produce enough blood with the lancets
I followed the instructions, but I couldn't produce enough blood with the lancets. We're not talking a drop of blood like an insulin test. You have to fill, with two, painful, finger pricks, *five* full circles that are of more than a centimeter in diameter. Based on other reviews, I'm not the only one who has had this problem. So, you end up with two painful fingers, no results, and less money in your wallet. While it sounds convenient to be able to do a kit at home, you're really better off spending the money for a proper blood draw at your doctor's office on a yearly basis. ... show more

  • Clearly I’m a turnip
For the vitamin d test one has to provide enough blood to fill five spaces. I had to stick myself twice and it was a battle. The response was fast and the levels seemed where I thought they’d be. So if you’re not a root vegetable this is what you need.
