The reviews are super hard to understand until you have went thru the process. Let me make it simpler in my opinion.... if you could know that egg whites could be irritating your body and possibly worsening a skin issue, whould you want to know!? For me its a YES!!! I definitely wanted to know what am I eating that could be irritating my body/skin. This test was perfect for me. Its not an exact end to all my problems, but a start of a new journey. This test was so easy. The instructions were easy and thorough, and I got my results back in about a week. I now know which foods to avoid to prevent inflammation in my body. It also suggests supplements to take to improve your health, though they're not pushy about you buying them. I also know which vitamins I'm deficient in and will repeat the test once I increase those vitamin levels. Highly recommend this if you're trying to lose weight or just feel your best!

I am preparing my body for my first pregnancy and decided to take this test to get a snapshot of my health at its current state. I have never taken an intolerance test before, but the process for this test was very simple and straight forward. There were slight issues with the return address, and so it took about 15 days to receive my results. However, the results were very insightful into key factors that can lead to inflammation in my body. Upon registering my kit, I paid for the additional packages to look at additional health factors. I feel much more equipped and knowledgeable of what foods can lead to inflammation in the body, as well as where I can make improvements to increase certain micronutrients and reduce stress.

I purchased the kit with the hope to know my body better and adjust my diet accordingly. The instruction is pretty clear and easy to follow. Just register online first and then cut some hairs and mail in. You need to cut the hair near the roots in order to get the most recent information of your body. I am surprised by some of the results. For instance, apple and avocado are in RED (inflammatory causing food & drink) which I had a lot recently, but I think these are very useful information for me to watch out. I did have some questions about my results and need some explanations. After I send in my questions, I got replies from AFIL very quickly. Although I can't tell how accurate the results are now, I can use these information to pay close attention to those nutrition and vitamins that I lack and avoid inflammatory foods.

Positive: -The company kept me informed of the progress of my order. -The instructions were detailed, but easy to follow. - The report was very comprehensive. The links within the reports takes you to a a website that explains the report in detail. - I was a little wary because of the reviews about the samples nit being received. It did take longer than I expected for the sample to be received (7 days from Calif), but they uploaded my full report within the 72 hour time frame. Overall, I was very happy with the test and will likely use it again. That said, the following areas could use some minor tweaking: -It would be easier to read the reports if the food items were arranged off alphabetically within each category. For example, "quince" appeared first in the list of fruits whereas "apple" was buried in the middle of the list. - At least one item appear in more than one category with conflicting results. For example, parsley was listed as a vegetable in the green (neutral food) category, but was listed again as an herb/spice in the yellow (mildly inflammatory) category. It is difficult to know how to interpret this apparent discrepancy. I think both of these issues can be easily addressed through software.

It was very easy to send in the hair sample. It took a lot longer than stated to get the results (3 weeks instead of the stated 72 hours. Could have been a postal issue???). When you sign up on their website, they make it extremely clear that this is not allergy testing and that the results may contradict a real allergy test. Hmmm. That being said, it was very easy to understand the results and I have purchased vitamins to boost the ones that were stated as low. Hopefully it's helpful.
