I was able to determine the 2 ways to fill the cooler with water. After adding about 2 gallons of water, I tested the cooler and found it to be superior in cooling. This is probably due to the 3 water evaporators. Most coolers only have one. Once the cool function starts, water is pumped back to the top tray where the ice packs or ice can be placed. I have 2 other coolers and neither of them have that return to the top tray. Their custome service did respond nicely with answeres to my questions. Overall, the device performs very well and the only small caveat seems to be that you must do a little experimenting with the cooler to get familiar with it as the instruction manual lacks a little detail. ... show more

Attic A/C unit died end of Mar. Got this portable swamp cooler & LOVE IT sooo much got 2nd unit & put window A/C back in garage. Worth every $$. Powerful/huge watertank/quiet/air very cold /huge watertank/wheels can lock/use outdoors too. Also using my 2 lunch box freeze packs - so use 4 ice packs on top water box. Can fill water in top w/ice packs OR use hose on sink faucet/tank shows water level. Using these portables A/Cs until outside temps +90 then buying attic A/C. Seems to be well made, however, I hooked up a water line in to the plastic float valve and it just leaks. Tightened it and the threads skip because they’re so loose at the nut/gasket to seal against the tank. I bought this specific cooler assuming I’d save the $20 on retrofitting in a valve but I was wrong. Just ordered an all brass 1/2” male NPT float valve to replace the original one, and I’d recommend you do the same. I can’t speak to the reliability otherwise. ... show more

Purchased this to use indoors and outdoors here in Arizona. Low humidity here makes evaporative coolers very effective. Construction of cooler is good......made of plastic so, you need to be careful when moving it. This unit performs very well and has multiple features. The included ice packs are great and help lower the temperature. The water capacity is good and the internal water float is a nice feature. I connected a 1/2" FMPT x 3/4" Female garden hose adapter coupling so the tank fills itself. I had some questions on how to remove/replace pads and vendor sent me the instructions needed. I have attached a screenshot in case anyone needs them. Overall, I am very pleased with this cooler and recommend it. ... show more

It's a beautiful air cooler I cannot lie but the temperature gauge on the air cooler would never go down instead he kept going up till like 80 something and I couldn't figure it out I had the ice packs and ice and everything in it and I hated up on high and it just would not for some reason cool off my small bedroom apartment I'm kind of disappointed. The fan and everything else on it work perfectly just the cooling system but not cool the way it supposed to so I had no choice but to return it. ... show more

The listing fails to point out there's no way to CLEAN it. The instructions specifically say cover when not in use to avoid dust, suggesting storing in the original box. The housing cannot allow access to clean the cooling pads, so as soon as they accumulate the inevitable debris from the air, it's a health hazard. An expensive cheap fan. The media could not be loaded. This is exactly like those mini fans that went viral last year that you add water and ice to except 100X's bigger. Performance isn't bad at all, does exactly as expected which is keep a room cool. Runs quietly and pretty easy to use. The directions aren't the best I had to read reviews to figure out how to add water. There's a inlet hose/valve you can use for continuous water flow or fill it from top which takes a while. The airflow is strong and the temperature of the room drops in temperature by 10 to 15 degrees, easily and fast. There are wheels that comes with it for mobility that you can add or leave off, it's up to you. This device keeps the room cool but puts moisture in the air as well. I've noticed my carpet being damp after use of this machine inside the home. We're going to use it specifically outside in our tint moving forward. My 7 year old did sleep quiter than I've heard her sleep in a while. It did enhance sleep, provide a cooler and more comfortable environment while inside.
