I used this puzzle box for a D&D adventure I ran my players through. They had a lot of fun with it and we made it a game by adding a time limit. I created kind of a graduated scale that if they finished in X time or under, this is what it would reveal and give, and then Y time gave something else etc. This made sure there was always something to learn by finishing the puzzle, but always the pressure of time to get as much information and loot as possible. The players working together was real good too because I had several things that would change as the puzzle came together. Getting the box open granted the final piece and overall the players had a blast and they are still talking about it 8 months later. The box is well made and sturdy and is easy to figure out, it just takes a little bit of time but when you are all working together it goes faster. Overall, this is a real fun product for the price. Hopefully this gave you some ideas how to incorporate something like this into your game!

Really well made and fun. Took me 90 minutes but I had to check the hints for the last clue which I don’t like doing. I don’t know how anyone could figure that one out.

We love puzzles and games in our household, so we had to give this a try. It took us about 30 minutes to get through. There's a secret compartment in the middle that you can store a gift for a friend, then put it back together and give it away for someone else to enjoy. The gift that keeps giving!! I love a good puzzle that can be re-gifted for others to enjoy.

This was given as a gift to my son. However, I had to figure it out in order to put a surprise inside - it was just as much fun for me and my husband to solve as it was watching my son to solve! I love that it can fit a gift card/ cash / small surprise inside. It also comes with a link for online instructions if you can’t figure out a step or two. It’s reusable so it can be solved many times. The wood material makes for a long lasting puzzle box.

Normally when you do escape room/clue boxes you have an order that makes sense. This clue box does not have an order that makes sense after puzzle 2. And part of puzzle 4 (don't want to put a spoiler) does not work (4 adults tried with the hint and video). I honestly cannot recommend and was disappointed but I ordered late so did not have the ability to return and figure out a different option. Very difficult. QR code does not allow the ability to go to an English website, had to type on the website. Cannot recommend.
