It isn't fair to call this a vacuum. It is an upgraded dust buster. Compact, light, easy to use and store. It has powerful suction for a small machine and a nice long cord. I bought it for litter scatter, which it picks up great - a mix of pine, walnut and corn - from the litter mat and hardwood floor. I've used it as a vacuum and it can work in a pinch. It does work on area rugs. However I still prefer my traditional vacuum for vacuuming the house. Only con I've noticed is with pet hair. The air blowing out the sides is strong enough to lift pet hair or large dust bunnies from the floor so you have to chase after them. Also the filter is kind of crappy. I clean it with a small camping brush. Noise level is okay. If you are on the fence, try it. It is a great little machine, more robust than I thought and useful for all sorts of odd jobs. very light weight and easy to put together. Actually does a much better job then i expected from such a small vacuum. I got this when the belt broke on my main vacuum and I had to order a new belt to fix it. I hate to be without a vacuum for even a day as I have 2 large dogs. I got this to serve as an emergency back up and it works great. I got the belt and fixed my main vacuum but should it go out again I have this until I can get the main one fixed. This was very easy to put together and actually works really well. I was surprised at the power of it for a little vacuum. It also swivels really nicely. I do think it is kind of hard to get the hand held part off of the base. Getting it back on is the same. When you are using the whole thing as an upright vacuum if you let it go to fast and do not take a minute to make sure it is stable it falls over. This little vacuum is perfect to clean up the dog hair, dust, etc on my bare floors at a great price. It is light weight has a detachable handheld dust buster and crevice tool. I have had battery operated vacuums that never lasted more than a year. I didn’t want a beater brush that just gets dog hair tangled in it so this vacuum is a perfect choice. It has powerful suction that empties into an easy to clean filtered container and the best part is no brushes to clean. The container is small but not as small as my other little vacuums. Cleaning my floors has been a quicker job and doesn’t break my back because it is so light weight and easy to maneuver. Eureka has been a durable vacuum for us for many years. I just love this glorified car vac! Yes,it's made of plastic. But,it's Eureka,a vacuum company. This little vac is light weight,manuverable,and converts into a decent size car vac. It picks up dust,hair,all the light stuff. Not made for bigger messes. But,it is perfect for hardwood floors, linoleum,etc... I used it in my motorhome and it worked great,even vacuumed the area rugs. Just move it slowly, and it will pick up threads,stickers,stuff like that. This vacuum is so easy to put together and it really works well. I mainly got it for my stairs then tried it out on my carpet and it worked wonderfully. So lightweight and compact! Easily gets into nooks and crannies. Highly recommend. The price was so cheap also.

I'm impressed. I wanted something that wasn't going to suck up my area rugs, but this little machine is strong enough to still do that. I like how easy it is to step off the bottom part to use the handheld, and have the longer handle still attached, and the extension for the handheld attached to that for convenience. It's lighter and easier to maneuver. The whole bottom part isn't able to suck since it's just the center, so you will have to go over it a few times. The cord is plenty long to get the job done. It was spewing dust out of the back, so that's not a good thing. It has its pros and cons, but its price was what I went for. If it lasts long enough, I found the filters for sale here. ... show more
