I was completely shocked at how well this vac works. Attachments are not special and the cord is a bit shorter than most, but where this thing shines is how well this thing cleans carpet. It's got great consistent suction. Easy to clean and maintain. If your not looking to use it for attachments trying to vac high up places then this thing is likely better than most $300 vacs. Also the cord was a bit of a issue for me but that was a easy fix. I picked up a new cord from Jerry's that was much longer and it was a easy swap. I went to empty the bag for my shredder and actually dump some on my carpet. I actually did not have a vacuum to this point in time. I did a search for the best upright vacuum under $200. There was another eureka vacuum that came highly recommended. When I searched for it, it was out of stock. I did see this one that had a large number a good reviews. I bought it with my prime membership and it was delivered within 3 hours. I took it out of the box and assembled it (no kidding) in about 5 minutes from start to finish. I then plugged it in and cleaned up the shredded material in less than 30 seconds. I wrapped up the cord and put it away in my closet for use anytime in the future. Overall I think this is a great vacuum for its price. It’s easy to put together and use. It’s also easy to empty the container and remove the filter. It’s definitely is light weight, which makes it super easy to carry up and down steps. I am still giving this a four Star because it does the job of picking up dirt off carpet, but I have a few issues with it. 1) The suction is so powerful, it’s hard to push it on thicker carpet so I have to pick it up and pull it back when I can’t push it forward. 2) it’s not good for hard-flooring even though it says it is. It will kick dirt back at you so you have to go over a spot several times on hard flooring. 3) the cord is very short. I have a dyson too which is very heavy compared to this, but it’s cord is about three times the length. This makes it a pain to get a large area since you will have to continuously unplug it and find a closer outlet. ... show more

I had to give away my Sharp Rocket, which was very powerful and highly recommended to me by a friend, but it was heavy to carry around, it had a small dust collection cup, the controls were not user friendly, at least for this 81-year-old with vision challenges—I had to get the instructions booklet out every time I used it. It also needed a strong hook installed in a wall to store it. So, I started looking for something powerful, but more conventional and easy to use. After reading the reviews, I decided on this Eureka. It is light-weight, a breeze to set up right out of the box, easy to store in a small space, powerful, the controls are intuitive, and it has a large dust collection cup (more than twice the size of the Sharo Rocket). I've used a very heavy high-end vacuum cleaner for the last 20 years and was tired of not wanting to use the attachments because of the hassle of attaching them. Was also tired of the weight of the vacuum cleaner and the difficulty of replacing the bag. Have been hearing about Eureka Airspeed and decided to try it. It is perfect for the space I live in and the carpet pile. I am impressed by the amount of cat hair and dust it picks up. Plus it's lightweight, easy to use (including the attachments), takes less room to store and is easy to dump out everything that got sucked up into the cannister. I gave an overall 3 stars because of the following reasons. It doesn't get to areas like my thinner Shark vacuum did such as under our bed/couch. It does fit slightly under those areas, but not as far as my shark did. It also does not have the rotation like my Shark, so how some vacuums can turn almost 90 degrees, this one cannot. BUT, for the price, we were looking for a cheap vacuum to get us by and so far it is doing just that. The suction works great, both my dog and I shed hair a lot and this had to be emptied just after vacuuming our master bedroom. It is super light weight which is why I gave it a 3 for stairs. It would be easy to carry up the stairs but it would be more functional for stairs if the head could turn at a 90 degree angle. It only has one power mode, on or off, there is no power mode for carpet vs hardwood floor. I think because of that, it is slightly harder to roll across our carpet than my Shark but it still gets the job done and for $60, I feel you can't beat that. ... show more

This little vac works great on carpet. I have a cat and suffer from allergies, and I was amazed how much this little vac picked up. With a little vacuum like this one you do not have options to raise or lower the vac to change the suction, but overall this is a great way to save money and still get a good clean. I didn't expect much from this little vacuum given the price point, but I was pleasantly surprised. It does a great job of cleaning carpets without any unnecessary bells and whistles. I like that it's very lightweight and easy to maneuver. A few caveats (hence the 4-star rating)...the cord is pretty short. I had to unplug and replug it when switching to different bedrooms in the house, while my last vacuum could cover two adjacent rooms easily. Also, the cord hook is set really low, making it a tad awkward to wrap and unwrap. I also would've liked a HEPA filter. All in all a great product for the price point. ... show more
