I had to give away my Sharp Rocket, which was very powerful and highly recommended to me by a friend, but it was heavy to carry around, it had a small dust collection cup, the controls were not user friendly, at least for this 81-year-old with vision challenges—I had to get the instructions booklet out every time I used it. It also needed a strong hook installed in a wall to store it. So, I started looking for something powerful, but more conventional and easy to use. After reading the reviews, I decided on this Eureka. It is light-weight, a breeze to set up right out of the box, easy to store in a small space, powerful, the controls are intuitive, and it has a large dust collection cup (more than twice the size of the Sharo Rocket). Overall I think this is a great vacuum for its price. It’s easy to put together and use. It’s also easy to empty the container and remove the filter. It’s definitely is light weight, which makes it super easy to carry up and down steps. I am still giving this a four Star because it does the job of picking up dirt off carpet, but I have a few issues with it. 1) The suction is so powerful, it’s hard to push it on thicker carpet so I have to pick it up and pull it back when I can’t push it forward. 2) it’s not good for hard-flooring even though it says it is. It will kick dirt back at you so you have to go over a spot several times on hard flooring. 3) the cord is very short. I have a dyson too which is very heavy compared to this, but it’s cord is about three times the length. This makes it a pain to get a large area since you will have to continuously unplug it and find a closer outlet. ... show more

I love this lightweight and powerful little vacuum. Unlike my old clunky one, my back doesn't hurt from pushing it and it really picks up well. I have a cat and it picks up cat litter and fur off the carpets and floors with ease. The attachments are handy for cleaning the furniture and corners and it's so easy to empty without messy bags. This vacuum is great for the price point. It has great suction and cleans on all floor types. The only negative is that you have to clean out the cannister more often than some. Hair and fur gets trapped by the filter. But like I said, for the price point, it is excellent!

I was completely shocked at how well this vac works. Attachments are not special and the cord is a bit shorter than most, but where this thing shines is how well this thing cleans carpet. It's got great consistent suction. Easy to clean and maintain. If your not looking to use it for attachments trying to vac high up places then this thing is likely better than most $300 vacs. Also the cord was a bit of a issue for me but that was a easy fix. I picked up a new cord from Jerry's that was much longer and it was a easy swap. You can also just use an extention if you are not comfortable with working with electric wiring. Great great product. Can't beleave how cheap it is! ... show more

I didn't expect much from this little vacuum given the price point, but I was pleasantly surprised. It does a great job of cleaning carpets without any unnecessary bells and whistles. I like that it's very lightweight and easy to maneuver. A few caveats (hence the 4-star rating)...the cord is pretty short. I had to unplug and replug it when switching to different bedrooms in the house, while my last vacuum could cover two adjacent rooms easily. Also, the cord hook is set really low, making it a tad awkward to wrap and unwrap. I also would've liked a HEPA filter. All in all a great product for the price point. ... show more
