I love the colors that come in this box. Please be aware, you will receive TWO of each color, so 18 colors total. The skeins are ombre, not necessarily variegated so you may not use all the shades on the skein on a particular part of your project. The shades do repeat in the skeins, though. Nevertheless, the skeins are beautiful and the quality is excellent. I will buy it again when I need more of these colors. Definitely the best value for my money. ... show more

These DMC variegated floss colors do not disappoint and will make some beautiful projects. There is a varied selection of 2 skeins each of 18 different colors, from pinks to a black/grey/white combo, and the rainbow in between. Some combinations are less extreme in the tonal color variation than others, but all are obviously variegated and beautiful. Package arrived quickly and in original packaging as pictured by seller. The only negative was a 2 yd. 6” section of one skein which had some broken and bunched strands, and a knot where there was a complete thread break during manufacture. Overall, I’m still satisfied with this purchase. There is a list of included color numbers, with a representative color swatch, on the reverse of the package. Pictured is my prepped-for-use floss (cut into approx. 18” strands, the color number band put back on, then braided and stored on a binder ring to easily pull out a useable length for stitching). The variegated colors pictured on ring, from left to right, are: 53, 52, 121, 93, 67, 125, 94, 92, 105, 111, 90, 51, 69, 106, 115, 107, 99, and 48. (Floss shown on white, 14-count Aida fabric, in natural sunlight.) I would recommend this box of DMC 36-count Variegated Embroidery Floss for anyone wanting to add some beautiful embroidery floss to their stash, or to gift to someone who would appreciate a quantity of quality DMC floss for their own embroidery or cross-stitch projects. ... show more

The DMC Variegated Embroidery floss I just bought and quickly received has many, many color variations that allow my new passion of T shirt embroidery sail much further in creativity than just about any other floss set I have purchased, and I have CASES of floss. As always, DMC makes a quality product. Today, embroidery is all about creativity and less about perfection, and this set really sets that creativity free. The color variations range from the warms to the cools in this set, boasting a few toanlities of each basic color...you'll get full sets of two greens, two reds, two pinks, etc, which, when combines really stretch the spectrum of colors. I am currently enjoying T-shirt work by first steaming lightwweight fuseable interfacing to the back of shirts (easy, lightweight and keeps those stitches from tearing the fabric) and then planning really intense graphics. The color changing allows for a real kaleidoscope of colors. I paid full price for these, and I'd buy them again. They wash well (I hand wash my embroidered clothes) and seem to stand up as we have all come to know by DMC quality. Take a look at my ongoing project and see for yourself. I was looking for a new DMC floss color, 3887. In the description of this package that I ordered, it was supposed to be the new DMC colors 3880-3895. However, upon receipt, it contains none of the listed colors, just duplicates of ones that I already own. Clearly false advertising
