Let me say, I love this ice machine and the small ice is delightful as I wanted a machine that made sonic ice. I was so pleased with it. It wasn’t loud and I always had ice to chew on. That being said, I purchased mine in June 3025 and now here in January, it no longer makes ice. I have cleaned as it said and thought it would last at least a year. It made an extremely loud noise so we turned it off and it hasn’t made ice since. Very disappointed as I was really enjoying it. I definitely do not think it is a good value for your money, when you pay $170 for it and doesn’t even last a year. Update**** Since leaving my first review, EUHOMY has sent me a new ice maker that is now working wonderfully again. It really means a lot that they would do this and stand behind their product. Lucy from their customer service department was excellent, kind, and a blessing to deal with. It was a no hassle and now I have that wonderful ice again. Like I stated in my first review, I love this ice maker as it makes the best ice, easy to keep clean and just all around a wonderful thing to have. Out of the three ice makers I have had, this is my favorite. Not sure what happened with the first one but hopefully the replacement will continue to work properly as it is now! Thanks again Lucy and EUHOMY for the replacement!!

This thing is awesome. I've had mine for over a year and I know that because I hadn't been cleaning it. It started making a noise like it was struggling, so I went to my purchases to see how long I'd had it only to find I'd had it WAY longer than I'd thought. I think you're supposed to clean it at least quarterly, and I have hard water as evidenced by the crust that built up in various places. Nothing should last this long without maintenance. This thing is incredibly well engineered and I want the company to succeed in their efforts to make more products like this. So: * Reliable? Oh yeah. VERY. I've been using its ice in my iced lattes every day for almost a year and a half. * Quiet? If you maintain it! Don't be like me. Take care of your stuff and it will take care of you. * Fast? Yeah, it works as advertised. * Good ice? You bet! There's always a downside to everything, right? Well, maybe not. Sometimes I forget to refill it and have to wait for ice. Oh no. Poor me. It would be nice if it had a tube on the outside showing the current water level, or if there were a way to hook it up to my tap to automatically refill, but those would add complexity that it doesn't need. The only reason this ice maker might not be for you would be if you need one that produces a higher volume of ice or one that takes up less space like if you live in an RV or a pocket dimension at the top of a magic rope.

We've had ours for about a year and half and it's worked great - producing the soft ice everyone is looking for. It does make noise, about what you'd get from a decent in window AC unit. We used distilled water and cleaned it regularly with bleach or vinegar cleaning solutions. We also took canned air to it to clear the dust out often. However after 18 months, it started to heat up and not produce as much ice. I peaked inside with a flashlight and saw that the coils/radiator piece was caked with dust - and it's not easily serviceable. You have to take half the case off. Which I did and successfully cleared it out. Unfortunately I damaged one of the fan blades in the process. And now it's non functional. So 4 stars for a good product, minus for an inability to easily clear out those coils from dust build up. I really think it would have lasted much longer if that were an easily serviceable item. If I get another one, I may try an air compressor on it every month or so to clear those coils out.

This is the closest ice maker that produces ice that is the closest resembling to sonic nugget ice (the best in my opinion). We purchased this back in January of 2025, unfortunately it only lasted about 2 months before it stopped working. We performed regular maintenance and only used distilled water to fill it up as recommended. In that period of time, we did get a lot of use out of it which may have contributed to a fast wear, however even that seems unreasonable to me and a bit disappointing as for the price point you would expect it to handle a little better. When it is running it is quite noisy, so we ended up putting the machine in our pantry to help mute some of the sound - it wasn't anything unreasonable, just a normal motor sound, but did get a tad annoying during the nights. Our machine was not under warranty as I lost the information to register it shortly after we purchased, however the support was amazing and they were willing to replace the system at no cost, unfortunately the same model wasn't in stock, so they ended up refunding us the entire amount. I will be purchasing another system with my refund as I do believe we had a faulty part on the machine, so I would like to give it another fair chance.

I bought this nugget icemaker and rec'd it two days ago. Here's what I've learned so far. Pros: a) Packaged really well. Unless someone really tried to destroy it, it should come in just fine. Nice job! b) Easy to take all the pieces out, clean and put back together (hint: there aren't many parts, which is nice!) c) They say ice in 6 mins... True but not enough to use. lol My attached video shows this. However, in 20 mins there was enough for one cup. Give it an hour and it'll be about full. It'll auto turn off as the ice gets stuck coming out of the chute so it thinks it's full but it's only about 2/3 full. That's fine. All ice machines will do this. Several glasses worth in an hour. d) Very compact and pretty light. e) Pretty quiet. You can hear it but there is a lot going on inside to create the ice. It's not loud enough to be a bother. f) Delicious nugget ice! No complaints on size or taste! g) Easy to drain, dry off and put away. Cons: I can't come up with any. How long will it last? That's the real question. Only time will tell. Overall, here was my goal. I just wanted to use it for a day, bag up a bunch of ice, drain and dry and put it away until I needed more ice. The reason for this goal was this... My first nugget maker was the GE Profile 2.0. Almost $600. I ran it 24/7 (I use a lot of ice). This was a mistake. Running it that much wore it out too quickly and also dirtied it up too easily. There was no good way to clean it other that hoping the "clean" setting actually did clean it. Well, it didn't. I don't think any can. You can't take any of them apart enough to make sure there isn't black gunk growing in all the guts of the machines. This nugget maker is easier to get too. The top lifts off and you can actually see the inside water tank and the big front tank and clean them both. Much better and a third of the price. Will it make ice as fast? Heck's no. Can I make ice for a few hours and bag it up and put in the freezer? Heck's yeah. I'm going for price now. I'll make ice, clean up the machine and put away for a week. So far, this is a great buy!!

I love nugget ice. When traveling, I always stop at the gas stations that sell it, so back in 2022 my girlfriend bought me a nice nugget ice maker from Amazon. It lasted about 18 months and the seller wouldn’t give me a replacement as it was over a year old and she didn’t buy an extended warranty. I bought a second one (a different brand) from Amazon in July 2024. That unit lasted several months but also quit working. I contacted the seller, but instead of being offered a replacement nugget ice maker, I was offered a cube ice maker as a replacement. I declined that offer. I then purchased this Euhomy nugget ice maker on January 25, 2024. It lasted until early June, when it suddenly gave up the ghost. It began making hideous squealing noises. I fortunately video-recorded the unit’s death throes as I thought it might be useful when I contacted the seller to seek a replacement. I furnished the seller with the information, including the video, it requested and it graciously furnished me with a new unit. A couple of other observations: The unit, when it worked, was quiet and produced nuggets fairly quickly. It was small, so I was filling it with water 2-3 times a day. It used at least a gallon of water a week (because I crunch that ice constantly), so your water usage may vary. It’s not a good-sized unit for a family, but it was fine for a single guy like me. Perhaps this new unit will be more reliable, but I can’t recommend you purchase it. I gave this ice maker two stars, not for its quality, but because the seller provided prompt, efficient responses to my complaint and quickly replaced the defective unit.

This has been a great little icemaker! I have had this for approximately 18 months, (I meant to review it sooner but kept forgetting) and it is still going strong. We have an ice maker built into our freezer, but our city water quality is not reliable. So, I wanted something that made small enough pieces that I could make a bunch and put it in the dispenser tray in my freezer. These soft little nuggets are just the right size to use with my dispenser and to crunch. The ice maker holds 2, 16.9-ounce bottles of water at a time, with that amount of water we normally get around 3 pounds of ice. The ice maker does not have a freezer feature, so once the ice is made, it will melt if you leave it in the basket. We use our about 2-3 times per week, it is not self-cleaning, that is something you will have to do. I do not clean ours after each use, I just make sure any remaining water is emptied out. Once every two weeks or so, I will cycle white vinegar and water through it to remove any build-up or potential germs. This EUHOMY nugget ice maker comes with easy to read and follow instructions, compatible with any home outlet that accommodates three-prong plug ins. I have been extremely happy with this ice maker; it is of excellent quality and reasonably priced.

Bought this unit. Worked for a while and then quit. Contacted company. They asked me to do a cleaning cycle and try again. I did what they asked and still didn’t work. They decided to replace my unit. Have had for a couple of weeks and is working fine. (🙏) Their service was very prompt. I really appreciated the replacement. I like the unit, the amount is small. Fills up one thermo cup only. Also it is quite noisy, but I keep in my dining room so it is not heard around the house.
